Heat broke in my apartment two days ago. Went to bed shivering last night, and woke up sweating this morning...what a relief. My landlord said he would "work something out for this month's rent." I don't know quite how much that means, but I hope he gives me a good deal.

Been thinking a lot about the NYE run. Last year, my friend and I bought scalped tickets outside the venue, proceeded to get celebratory beers and drop some doses. Upon walking through the gate, I was the only one with a real ticket. Real bummer. This year we are back in action and I scored two through the re-release. Problem is, New Year's day is a huge drinking day and I am a bartender. I have a 9.00am train to Philadelphia on Jan 1 to get to work by noon. I am not looking forward to having to keep NYE in such moderation, but I am going to have to.

Hope everyone is well. It's hump day!! Week is almost over...

birmy Another PB and J quandary. @Jayem made a good point a few weeks ago that the extra protein from the PB and J with more PB on it is the way to go for the morning PB and J, and save for after noon the PB an J with less PB on it. I am in the process of adopting a method in hopes that when I am forced to make PB and J at 5 in the morning that I make them both with equal amounts of PB and J so much of my day isn't consumed by what seems like a rudimentary question but in reality is quite complex physiologically speaking.

Unfortunately for me today I was unable to construct two PB and J's with equal amounts of PB, the quandary lives another day.

Personally- I would go with more protein later. Since protein repairs tissue- more is needed (to an extent) later in the day because your tissue is likely to be more worn (however- I'm sure the differences on a sandwich are negligible). I lean towards pyramiding protein and reverse pyramiding carbs.

Picking up my "Enjoy By" today- thanks for the link!

They were saying it in a joking matter... they were telling me that they were sitting around a table trying to figure out what I would need so much music for. One of the guys (who frequents my school often) said "Well, she is always jamming out at her desk" -- so they came in to see me.

So much for the Funk Fest!

When I started here at work I was dling a bunch of music and unfortunately I was saving it to "my documents" which, apparently, aren't "my" documents at all, but rather are stored on a shared drive.

Several months back I got a similar call..."would you mind deleting some stuff from your 'my documents' folder we're trying to clean up this shared drive to create some additional space and you have a folder "Music" that seems to be a culprit."

After my heart skipped a beat I just transferred everything to my c: drive. And I'm working my way through that funk thread today.

I probably should reconsider this practice.

It's a fantastic service if you aren't an "all apple" type person. Particularly if you have an android smart phone and want to stop carrying around an ipod as well. It's fairly easy to use, although the initial set up can take quite some time. Let us know if you need some help setting it up, there are PLENTY of people around here who use google music. Free storage for your first 20,000 songs.

My ipod doesn't even hold half of my music! It is pretty annoying to keep having to manually upload my music. How do you pick, you know? I'm going to read up on this some more today. Thank you for the offer in helping out- and everyone- because I'll definitely accept it, and most likely need it.
