Manteca Permalink
Manteca Anyone ever do it? I'm highly considering it this summer. If so, what fest? How was it? Would you do it again?

Doctor_Ocelot I've worked berkfest, and two years at high sierra, i will work a third if Phish's festival isn't the same weekend this year, i could possibly get you a gig there too.

careful_w_that_axe_Miller Volunteering doesn't get you into the venue, you got to have tix

Doctor_Ocelot thats not true careful if you know the right people and at some fests volunteering gets you a ticket, some require you to pay for a ticket up front and then they reimburse you

Drgordy Volunteering for WET gets you a ticket to the show, that's the whole point of it.

Manteca I was looking at Summercamp as it is only a couple hours from me and TAB will be there. Looks like volunteers get admittance to the festival and are reimbursed a few weeks after you successfully (soberly) complete your volunteer shifts. That wouldn't be a problem and the free festival is a deal breaker in my book.

Onlymike I volunteered for the Shakori Hills GrassRoots Fest many moons ago. Lots of fun helping set up the main stage, then had a free pass for the weekend. There's a great, community vibe there.
