Hey guys I'm looking to buy a new delay pedal what would you guys recommend in the price range of up to 250$
I have the TC Flashback. It's my first delay so i cant really compare it to anything else, but if you're looking for something with versatility then I would check it out...has a bunch of delays to choose from and also has a "toneprint" slot where you can download a signature artists effect from TC's website (or their free app if you have an iphone). Kinda gimmicky, but still kinda cool at the same time. It also has a looper as well. They are $170 new, I got mine for 115 shipped off ebay...They also JUST came out with a flashback X4, which is $250, and is a bigger version with even more versatility.

The Boss DD7 is a great digital pedal. It's got a range of features, and a wide rage of delay times. It also has a sweet reverse setting. Also, Line 6 does a pretty good job with their delay pedals. Check out the Echo Park and the DL4.yeah I was looking at the DD7 and it looks like a good choice
The tap tempo is nice as well.
TC Nova Repeater, just got one and the thing is super legit. Trey uses one too.Great pedal! Trey also uses the DM2000 for his delay rack.

Definitely go to y
Definitely go to your local guitar shop and fool around. I went through a dd7, TC delay, rv-5 (or three. It has both reverb and delay). Eventually I got a line 6 m9 after seeing trace bundy perform with one. Slowly, my delays have sent away, and that's the only delay pedal I use. Plus it's nice to have it in case you want a random sound but don't want to pony up for a dedicated pedal. They have a lot of usable tones. The reverbs are amazing too.
It's soooo much fun. I feel it helps me with my creativity. I have a pa that I use and I like doing the delay that bounces between speakers when I'm way out there.
Right now I'm using two tubescreamers into a compressor into the m9. I haven't pedal shopped in a year

I haven't pedal shopped in a yearWhat the hell is wrong with you? Guitarists are always looking to waste money hunting for "The Pedal". Worst musician ever....
Shall I rephrase and say "I haven't pedal shopped in a year, however, I've aquired a PA system, new amp, and bass guitar, and I'm currently looking for upgraded pups"
Sound more musician-esque?

The best pedal I've bought in years. Love this thing, I run so much more through it than guitars. Such an epic little device.

^^^^ just a warning with that one... as you add more overdubs to your loop, the earliest overdubs start to fade away. don't know why it would do that or if theres a way to fix it, but that was my selling point. not to refute your pedal. it is good. you are good.So does the Boomerang, its a fun feature to play with on the 'rang cause the stack switch is a hold not click like the DL4. Get a DL4 for the delay features not as a looper.
@ledzepmaster
Any sound clips of 3.0 DM2000 use you know of?
@ledzepmasterI know I'm not @ledzepmaster but if you listen to the end of Makisupa from Worcester this year or the end of Boogie on into Waves from Bethel, you can hear it.

green Line 6 breaks ALL THE TIME. plus the delays sound waayyy too digital IMHO.
i offer you the Boss DD-3 OR the Ibanez DE7. the DD-3 is a digital delay, but does not have that superficial tone to it like the Line 6. the Line 6 IS a great looper though, very quick to play/overdub, and has double time features and single play features which i like.
the DE7 has a mode that makes it sound very warm with a dirty decay much like older analog delay units. perfect for that "wall of sound" type playing. it also features an equally as great digital delay as the DD-3. the nerdy thing i like about the DE7 is that it's apart of Ibanez's "ToneLok" series, and the knobs can be pushed down into the unit to avoid any sudden changes (aka friends messing with your stuff).
both relatively cheap, can be found for under $100 each.
my suggestion, use that 250 and get multiple basic delays much like these and run them together. many more possibilities at the same time, it can get crazy

For $100, you can get one of these. Easy to use, sounds great, has tape delay, reverse and looping. I've used one for years and loved it. http://www.digitech.com/en-US/products/digidelay
With the money you save, you can also get one of these, which are WONDERFUL in a jam situation. http://www.ehx.com/products/freeze

lol Sorry forgot to put the vid in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HF0tXoYAsv0Sat right behind Fishman for this show and hearing Trey go nuts with the DM2000 was one of the highlights of the night.
Stood behind Kuroda for this show. My first. Too many highlights to mention.
