If they want you to wire money, or paypal as a "gift" its a scam. Also, ticketmaster tickets are non-transferable for the holiday run show. Some people are trying to say they will transfer tickets to your ticketmaster account from theirs. Pure scam.

Chilly Mr. Dixon,

I wanted to reach out on behalf of my law firm to offer our services in these times of need. The law is not out to get us, and we make sure all our clients, regardless of evidence or criminal records get the best aid we can offer. As we are reaching out to you, our consoltation would be free and we would only get a commission if you won your case.

If you have not yet already received a subpoena, according to the Federal Judicial Records System which allows participating firms to review a wide array of case work, Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc has filed an indictment with several names, including Mark Dixon in an ongoing ticket fraud investigation. The FJRS does not go into specific details on individual implications, so we are unable to provide more information at this time. We believe in a free-market, and have worked with multiple top-of-their-field Economists in ticket fraud/scalping cases before, and would like nothing more than to look at your case more closely.

The best offense is a good defense, so having your ducks in a row will go a long way when these indictments start dropping in the coming weeks. Please don't be alarmed, this is a civil lawsuit that you were cited in, not a criminal conspiracy case. In most cases these type of subpeanos are for monetary damages, that can be paid in one settlement, or through court payment plans. Jail time is rarely on the table, probation would even be only probable, but only if convicted.

Please contact me directly, or call my office for more details.

All I can tell you is that there (was) a live "transfer ticket" button on my ticketmaster account, I clicked it....then I received this ticketmaster successful transfer confirmation I am holding in my hand, my ticketmaster account page had a status bar on my account that confirms the ticket transferred, I received confirmation when my friend accepted the transfer and then he notified me when he received the newly generated tickets....but maybe all of these confirmations are just more lies generated by the white man.

Seriously - the tickets definitely can be transferred from one TM account to another. Is it possible that your ticketmaster phone person was just a putz? (lets be honest, we've all encountered at least one).

I talked to 3 different ticketmaster reps regarding this. Maybe you can "give" or "gift" tickets to someone through ticketmaster accounts, but you can't sell or buy tickets FOR THIS RUN this way. Sorry for the confusion. Regardless, those people I listed above are scammers and weren't involved with the ticketmaster transfer option . They wanted me to wire money, and sent me fake pictures of tickets.

Just because someone wants you to gift them the money doesn't mean it's a scam, it could just mean they don't want to take a hit. especially if they are selling them for face. If I had tickets for sale I would request the buyer gift it and I assure I'm no scammer.

I'm at work and PT is blocked, can you fill me in on how it is used in conjunction with a scam? The only way I can think of is if they just don't transfer you ownership. Otherwise, the original tickets that the person has are voided out and can't be used again.

tix were promised via TM transfer to make the buyer feel safe, sadly he fell for a western union payment option and the money is gone with no tix for him. not so much a scam on the TM end, but NEVER use western union for anything, no matter how tempting the deal is

Gotcha. Yea, I mean that's really rule number 1 with getting tickets. PayPal is the only way to truly protect yourself. I thought some guy had an elaborate way of scamming TM transfer, and I was about to be really impressed.
