What was known about big cypress, and mainly "the show"?
Did you guys know that it was going to be a 7 hour rage fest till the sun came up? Did you know that it would be the longest set of phishtory or was it just billed as a festival?
Mainly, did you guys know what was coming? Were people aware of the plans?
If I remember correctly, the Schvice mentioned the all night set so fans could prep.Yes, exactly. When I said "it even stated" I should have said The Schvice even stated.
Had to be a great experienceIt's not the same, but I would highly recommend you to listen to it from 12-7 am if you haven't already Miller. It's, once again, obviously not the same; but I had my blinds open facing east and it was incredible (even though I fell asleep for Free -> Roses)

i remember it was announced in the fall that phish would play from midnight to sunrise, but there were questions about whether it was going to be several sets with breaks or one long set.
Wish i went
yes, that was the pretty much the plan.It was a dream come true.
All those nights of leaving a show after the encore and just wishing that it could just keep going, for hours, where the night didn't have to end.
Finally happened.
And no one seems to remember the traffic jams. That's how good it was.
They advertised it as a midnight to sunrise show.
Then Trey addressed the crowd during the day set on the 31st to clarify that they would not leave the stage the entire night and that they would have security on side stage to make sure they couldn't leave.
They did take a couple 10 minute breaks from what I remember. I think they basically stood around the piano during the breaks. They had a porta potty on stage!

18 hours to cypress, 18 hours in traffic jam at gates
They advertised it as a midnight to sunrise show. The breaks started with Page. He left the stage for 5 minutes or so. Then Trey went into the port-a let and was in there for about 5 until Fish goes up to the door and Trey lets him in. They are in there for another 5 min.or so until Brad is peaking in through the top and communicating with them. He heads off stage and returns with water and what looks like alka-seltzer fizzing in the glass. They come out and return to playing. I remember seeing all of that.

I didn't see Mike leave the stage. We walked away from our spot from Crosseyed > > > Free but I was listening for Mike to stop playing. I didn't hear it happen.
