On tour as it is in Gamehendge.
Give this day our daily toke
And forgive us our WSP stats
As we forgive spreadheads that come to our Phish shows.
Lead us not into the Biscuits
And deliver us from Umphrey's.
Yestaday
Err, Mornin.
Dinner Club tonight, friends b-day tomorrow, giant friggin baby shower Saturday. Full schedule, but pretty mellow.
Almost definitely Hudson Yards, likely Sat or Sun...
@JohnnyD- hopefully that giant baby shower is filled with awesome food. In my experience the food blows, but you would think the opposite considering they're pregnant, right? Eat cake. Oh, and a dinner club, eh? That's sweet!
Any of ya'll have those mornings when you are actually off work for once and realize that smoking a bowl at 8:30am is the best idea you've had all day?
I am sick as a dog. Dragged my ass to work for a half day... leaving at 11. Then rotting in my bed to rest up for an exciting weekend. This cold/flu is weird... I actually felt better Tuesday night. And then last night, I was hit by a ton of bricks. I hate being sick.
So, work food...right? I accept anything and everything, however I usually end up wrapping said morsel in tissue and tossing it. People are sketchy. Today a guy brings in cookies. Sends me a msg "hi, want to try cookies I made". I go..ask what kind they are and I get the ambiguous response of "cookies". Instant red flag. I had to work to get the components outta him... may as well have said "I made it with my very own_____" so no cookies for breakfast. Definite mouse food fodder.
On a better note, someone left me a ring pop for st. Nick's! Woot! So I get my sugar start anyway! (Screw you, Bob; maker of questionable cookies!)
So...today...I'll be productive.
We're going early to help set up. Its funny, I absolutely love setting up for an event or party, even if its a baby shower, apparently. I'm looking forward to it.
Dinner Club kicks ass - its with one dude that I met on this site, and another guy that I randomly parked next to at the Sunday UMass show in 2010. We all hit it off and show/tour crews absorbed and grew. For over a year now we kick it with those two guys once a month, regardless of music. @Ednaz met these characters at SPAC...
@missblue75 - When someone brings in food here it's practically a stampede, followed by people slowly filtering back to their desks while they discuss how much they've been cheating on their diets.
Looks like a light morning of work, have no idea what the afternoon will hold for me. Introduced the girlfriend to Breaking Bad last night, she liked it alright, but didn't get why I'm so obsessed with it.

Funny. my girlfriend introduced it to me and I've been addicted since. In mid season 4 now! Sooooo good.
@twisty-M - yeah, food should be good. At least what we are bringing will be! But there's gonna be like 30 people there, all in the "friends" category, so we shouldnt have the trappings of a normal boring shower. Its at our other friends condo; I might utilize the hot tub.I too love setting up for parties. We sure throwing a surprise one for my buddy this weekend. I also love cleaning up parties. I just wake up at like 8, pull a tube and go at it.

Thanks again @DanceTheJig728 for sheltering my ass. I'll be texting you later today so we can get this whole western union shiz settled.
Digging the throwdown of Del. I love Mista Dobalina.
@DriedupGoliath - You area in the albany area, right? Did you see my post about this place yesterday? Ever hear of it...?I grew up in Albany, but live in Rochester now after graduating last May. I was actually out near Delaware Avenue on Thanksgiving when I went home, but didn't see it. Place looks pretty cool, though- I'll have to check it out next time I'm back home.
@DriedupGoliath said:I just finished Season 2- that ending- holy shit. I'm now watching from Season 3 by myself, and watching from the beginning with my girlfriend- should make for a weird juxtaposition. It's weird going back and seeing Walter so innocent again in the Pilot.GM.net

Mornin crew. @JohnnyD I throw down my vote for Saturday, twill give people a chance to hang at the shows the following two nights. That logic is very strong, imo...
@DriedupGoliath, My gf was already on season 2 when I started so I never saw season 1. Doesn't seem to effect my knowledge of the show too much
Sign'd on setting up for parties. I'm setting up for my holiday pot-luck/gift exchange soon. Friends and I do a White Elephant thing and have a side pool for the gift that gets the most laughs. If anyone has an idea for a shitty, yet funny gift for 20 bucks- throw it out there.

THANK YOU, .NET! GOOD MORNING!!!
'Sup, er'rybody?
So I had something cool to say...but then I forgot. So let me ramble about other stuff. Listening to beck's mellow gold this morning and I haven't for a while. I forgot how good it is. Anyways long and short of it is I'm forgetful.
@DriedupGoliath- Breaking bad is the shit. I watched season one through 4 in an embarrassingly short amount of time this fall. I dislike Walt. He's mean to Jessie- nuf' said.

Mean to Jesse??? Jesse would have died 5 times by now probably if it weren't for Walt!

Too Far?
i just told a student that if he didn't stop talking while I was teaching I would booger all over him.I say "Booger On Reggae Woman".
Too Far?
Well, Walt is most certainly an asshole- but he really does seem to care about Jesse. Walt is one of my favorite characters on TV due to how morally ambiguous he is. Is he doing it for his family? Is he doing it because he actually likes it?
@DancetheJig728
Watch Season 1. It's understated, but still amazing. I can't wait to start 3.
Breaking Bad is the best TV show in the history of TV.
though I've never seen The Wire

How ya doing @JayDubya?
It's only when Walt is faced with the prospect of death, that he truly comes alive.I'm beginning to see this more and more. I was hooked with the scene where Walt puts the plate together and sees a piece missing. Chills, man.

How are you feeling?
I am obsessed with Sons of Anarchy... but Im almost done. Whats next?
The pacing of the dialog is consistently overwrought, to me.
I get it. Everything is really tense and stressful. But despite the excellent characters and plot development, this really makes parts of it hard to watch for me.
Though I could lay similar criticism on The Wire regarding trying to understand the dialect
G' morning everybody! Is this like an orgy with food and presents???

Hanging in there @conphucius looking forward to an epic Phish couch touring. Trying to get back on the exercise bandwagon after a month or two break.I gotta put on the Rocky theme every morning if I want to have a chance at seeing a show. It's all good though- it's worth it.
How are you feeling?
Feel free to hit me up for any exercise advice/philosophy/encouragement.
I've got a receipt degree in the field.
