Ok so as most of you already know, Phish covered Dark side of The Moon in 1998, well Les Claypool and his flying frog brigade played '"Animals" in 2000? I believe (the year doesn't matter). Anywho both were pretty good IMO, but i think Mr. Claypool takes the win in this fight of the floyd's... lets hear what you have to say world?

didn't the Flaming Lips do Dark Side of the Moon as well? Hard to compare Animals and DSOTM tho...

I saw The lips perfrom DSOTM at bonnaroo 10' i must say it was rather depressing as all hell and wasnt nearly loud enough, i was 150 feet from Which stage???? And i could hear every word my whispering friend was speaking to me.

Claypool, we all know the 11/2 dark side was thrown together haphazardly. Still a good listen, though. Frog brigade nailed it, Phish had a laugh.

Les Claypool gets my vote. He and his band obviously practiced it a lot. I also think that Animals is a harder album to cover. For learning DSOTM in a very short period of time, Phish did pull it off well.
