I have heard the Went Tweezer a lot more than the 11/17 version, so obviously I like that one better

Both are great, but 11/17 is on another level. Multi faceted facemelt. Stop/start denouement? R u kidding? Top three tweez for me and the phish jam I've listened to the most in my 11 yr run of phish obsession.

I was always partial to 11.17 but after a huge drought of not listening to Went Tweezer it came on the other day.......so sweet...maybe cause its fresh and new, but there is a certain point where you wouldn't think they were playing to 70,000. It sounds like something out of a soundcheck....so tastey.

The Went Tweez is nice and even goes major at the end... but 11/17 you cannot deny. Groovy funk foreva!

Gonna go with the Went. There is no less funk in that version, and my ears tell me it's the first appearance of what went on to become Black Eyed Katy, who of course birthed the Moma Dance.

I'm going to go with the Went Tweezer as well. While there is one section of the Denver Tweezer I love (Mike's bass run just before Trey sets the siren), i have always felt that jam had more lift-off potential and didn't.
