This crapola is drawn from the fake Jon & Briar Fishman twitter feed that appeared a week ago. Did I mention that it's crapola?
I never know what to make of this kind of rumor: "I have friends who work for Phish," etc. I have a couple insider friends and occasionally I hear some solid information ... and I would never, ever betray those confidences and post anything like that out here. Just sayin'.
Making things up is fun sometimes!
just to clarify i have 3 friends who work for Phish directly, livenation and musictoday. this info has trickled from sources of this natureim not in any way doubting that you are telling the truth. But i have two questions for you.
1. Why wouldn't you respect the band and not tell anyone about it (let alone a whole thread of people)?
2. Why ruin the surprise for us?

@somepothead said:i don't see how i'm disrespecting the band in any way? and please explain how letting people know there will be new songs ruins the surprise? i have no idea which songs and we will all be surprised when we hear them. I have seen multiple threads on this forum saying new songs MSG yet they do not get any "ruining things" hate. believe me or not i do not see how i'm ruining anything. made this post to forward some awesome news i heard that i would personally love to see. im sorry if this ruined anything about MSG for you, but what makes my post about a golden age gag any different from the multiple gag threads that have mentioned it? only wanted to see good vibes and funny nans comments when posting my dudejust to clarify i have 3 friends who work for Phish directly, livenation and musictoday. this info has trickled from sources of this natureim not in any way doubting that you are telling the truth. . A little bummed to have the gag hint but I suppose it was inevitable, plus it sounds good.
I like this rumor very much.Me too. Thanks OP, even if you're making it up

Not really happy about Golden Age. Use a Phish song!
A lot of us specifically don't want to know this stuff, even when it is 100% speculative bs. Thank you for not putting it in thread titles in the future.
where might they go with the covers........Bieber tune no doubt right?Actually, Justin Bieber will be the name of one of the new songs.

I sense this thread will earn a serious hate/love bump on 1/1/13.Or perhaps as soon as 12/28/11.
Honest question here. Why would any band disclose any information about the specifics of their shows/setlists to Live Nation, let alone a month in advance? Don't they just handle ticket sales? Does Live Nation do more then I think they do?Those surcharges on every ticket are actually the fee they charge the band to write the setlists. Its a weird arrangement.
Anyway, Fishman shared the same details that @somepothead above me detailed with the plumber.
So there you go.
You heard it here first! I've got the sourciest of sources, so I'm betting this one is good.
Personally, I like this rumor and hope that it is true. I like a lot of rumors around this time of year and it's fun to see which ones come to fruition, IMO.
I'm certain there will be some kind of shoutout to Bieber. I just hope it doesn't come to dominate any set, alla Blister in the Sun at SPAC, though I did enjoy that set very much.

This is actually an awesome call.
My thoughts -
Light -> ALS -> Golden Age, or the opposite

The op is a dick if the rumor is false, for wasting our time.
And, if the rumor is true the op is a dick, because he blew up the bands spot...
Now more than ever this is the truth, the gospel, The Word...
::get a life you uptight fake ass Nazi fans::
This is supposed to be FUN, and all the ticket drama and rumor drama is just making it unfun. Thank the gods I'm entertained by it all.
