I have been to 31 shows. I have seen Mike's Groove 13 times and CDT 12 times. I used to complain about seeing these songs too often.

Or complain about this song or that.

I recently had my first child and will not be seeing a show at MSG despite living so close.

If I could go to one of those shows and they played my least favorite songs I would still be in ecstasy. It is a PHISH show. A great time. And I will miss it tremendously.

It makes my past complaints seem so petty.

bostonron I hear ya, OP. I would get a little bitchy about seeing certain songs too much back in the day (however, Mikes was never one of them). Songs like Sample and Bouncing seemed to follow me around. I've hated, fallen back in love, hated, fallen back in love with so many Phish songs. It seems like the tunes you least want to hear are most played at the shows you hit.

As I've gotten older, lost Phish twice, I feel a new found energy and appreciation in everything they play. I now love Sample (Bouncing I can take or leave) but for the most part I dig what they are playing. I may not jump up and down and throw my hands in the air during every song, but I'm not throwing bitch fits post show or complaining on message boards either (not a jab at you, OP. Just saying).

I get your new found perspective. It happens to just about every fan as we get older.
