ISO: Place to stay in NYC. Wook free!

AllForYourDelight Permalink
AllForYourDelight So the people I was staying with in NY changed plans at the last minute and me and my buddy don't have a place to stay.

We're both college students and don't have the funds to afford a hotel room so we're looking for a place to crash.

I don't have tickets to offer but me and my friend would be willing to throw $50 or $60 a night to crash on the floor of your hotel/apartment/house.

Only need a place for the 28-30th. We won't be a nuisance, we've got sleeping bags for the floor, and you can make $180 (3 nights).

I worked right around the corner from this place but lived way up in the Bronx. Nights I would close (4am) we would hang out for a couple of hours drinking. If I had to open the next day (10am but be there to set up by 9am) I would throw these guys a few bucks and crash in an empty roon. Nice place. Clean and safe. I think a full night room fee was somewhere aroud $35. Might be more given the holidays. It's way downtown though, 4th and Bowery just past Astor Place.

Good luck.

AllForYourDelight Thanks for the suggestions, this is a serious negotiable offer and it looks like it will be either this or the back of my van for now.

Cheapest I can find for 3 nights is 800 in NYC and 700 in NJ.

MomaDan Are you female by any chance?

Na just kidding, all of my floor space has been claimed. Check Craigslist for temp places in Brooklyn or jersey or queens. It'll be a little cheaper there

You aren't trying hard enough. You can stay by the Newark airport for like $100. You just need to keep a straight line between the venue and the hotel because it can be rough. Also check out the Saint Mark's Hotel, it's around a $200 a night average for the holiday. Hotel 17 is cheap too.
