I have a friend who says that republicans put fluoride in the water as a form of population control.

He also said that the kid in colorado who did the shooting at the batman movie was drugged (scopolamine) by the government and then made to do the shooting do that the government could bring up gun control issues during the election.

Stanley Kubrick filmed the fake moon landing. It had to be done, as Kennedy had guaranteed a man on the moon before the end of the decade and we had to beat the Russians.

Also, the moon may or may not exist. None of you can prove it exists.

I'm pretty rusty on physics, but I think in extreme cases (think black hole), gravity can affect light waves, thus affecting shadows. (Not sure how it works in the other direction - absence of gravity.)

If I said "gravity has nothing to do with shadows" some wiseapple surely would have pointed that out. So I qualified it a little.

And that Bobby Weir's part of the deal was to stay eternally youthful, which at the time wasn't so hard to buy. Dude was pretty spun out, so as far as conspiracy theories go, I didn't latch onto it. Now, that business about Dead tour being an extension and continuation of the Mk/Ultra experiments, that I could get behind.

And I also heard that the members of Phish were freemasons.

Pretty sure none of them are Freemasons. It wouldn't surprise me if Trey was but I'm almost positive he isn't. And I have no idea what the Freemasons crank is (from NICU).

That line baffled me. Not that I put much research into it. Not sure if Trey or Tom or both wrote the lyrics to NICU...it sounds like Tom Marshalls work. Also 99% sure he isn't one.

I think it was just randomly inserted into the song with little meaning.

I was a philosophy major in college, and one of our professors considered it a possibility that we were thrown into our existence 5 minutes ago and that all of our memories were programmed into us. He was also very old, and occasionally fell asleep during his own lectures, but it was an interesting subject.
