Murmur
Thriller
Violent Femmes
War
Synchronicity
Pyromania
Genesis
Let's Dance
Shout at the Devil
Punch the Clock
I'd love to see Meddle or American Beauty.
ETA: I do love that album, but good Jesus does that name suck.
Zepp III or physical graffiti, my bloody valentine only shallow, maybe a kinks album? How about GRATEFUL DEAD its long over due and BLUES FOR ALLAH would more than some up Halloween traditions
Actually, the more I think about it the more I'm enamored with Phish doing an album from the last decade or so.I think a recent album would be great musically, but it wouldn't be an album from the year that they formed, which would be the whole point of the 1983 thing and all.
1) zeppelin- physical graffiti
2) ween- white pepper
3) Floyd- animals
Neil Young and Crazy Horse- Rust Never Sleeps
Neil Young-Tonight's The Night
Neutral Milk Hotel- In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
Led Zeppelin 1
Grateful Dead-Europe '72
I'm pulling hard for a Midwest Halloween. While I'm making wish list...Would LOVE to hear them do Animals. One of my favorite albums of all time. On average, I listen to it in its entirety 3-4 times a week. Any Zeppelin album would be good.

Hell, if you want to stay more trad-rock, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot would also be a great choice - there's a lot of spaciness in that album anyway, and Wilco jams those songs out on stage, so surely Phish could as well. Both these unlikely choices are sheer genius.
Meddle
Ziggy Stardust
Overnight Sensation or Apostrophe
Graceland
Piper At The Gates Of Dawn would be f***ing epic but I don't see it happening. My other picks I could imagine.

Plus the double album would require a mammoth 2nd set... or better yet, a 4th set. I'd love to see it happen though.
If they were going to do Zep, they would have done II, IV, or Houses. I'd still love to see it happen though.
Personally, I'd love for them to play an album from 1983. So many great options from that year:Speaking in Tongues (1983)

I'm sorry, Trey would never pull off In My Time of Dying. They did a double album in '94, '95, & 2010 on Halloween

Europe '72 would be kind of weird because it's a live album... though listening to it, it's so god damn spot on it's almost hard to tell!
Waiting for Columbus was a live album
The last time they covered an album that was just over a decade old at the time, it didn't turn out too badly...Which album would that be?? I'm having a hard time thinking of any Phish Halloween Costume that was a more recent album. Remain in Light came out in 1980 so it was 16 years since its release-- hardly "recent" especially when you consider the album came out before Phish even existed...
@ucpete said:Ah, good point! Totally spaced that. Then again I'm still not familiar with Little Feat's music except for a few of the more common Phish covers...Europe '72 would be kind of weird because it's a live album... though listening to it, it's so god damn spot on it's almost hard to tell!

I think my first choice right now would be Meddle.
