waterwheel charity event

treysoldguitar Permalink
anyone going? Thoughts on $200 ticket? I have floor tix (back half)
for the 30th, so I'm really tempted to put in for the charity in exchange for early entrance. But $200 is a little steep.

OliveLoaf If I had the money I'd definitely go either the 28th or 30th, as I have GA west both of those nights.. sadly, I'm broke. If you've got the money I'd say do it, it's a good cause, should be fun, and you can't go wrong with early admittance to the venue.

Pweso81 Going the 28th. $200 is close to what you will spend on having a good time and this is for a good cause and a great way to stay in shape (Family Guy).

Fees_Nipple If it were $200/couple it would be more affordable. However spending $400 after the holidays, and NYE accomidations is pretty tough.

I personally think it would be a great experience. Something a little different than the norm, and also for a good cause. I still have a couple of days to think about it, but leaning towards "Mike says no."

Would love to hear about the san fran one too.

TheDeputy Do you think anybody from the band pops out and visits?
Regardless, I'd still love to go. I like food and drinks and special events.

food was superb, buffet style, plenty of it...

the bar was awesome... free drinks, etc.

early entrance to the venue was awesome. my buds stayed and kept drinking for about an hour, i left and saved their spots... missed out on the extra free food and booze.

the raffles? too rich for my blood. i barely remember some of the items, but i know that one went for over a thousand.. coulda been up to 2 or 3k not sure. these 2 were in a bidding war, kind of fun to watch, but couldnt really as AG was sliding past me trying to get out the door first for the earlier entrance to the venue -- we were all locked up in this room (it was large) until the last item was auctioned.

Great info. Were there alot of items? Were there both auctions and raffles? Any opportunity to get posters or merch or were you just allowed from the room to the seats or did you have free reign to walk around the venue and buy food, use restrooms, buy merch etc.?

I didnt really walk around much as I was at the seats for the entire show...
But during the early entrance, there was definitely ability to walk wherever you would be able to during a reg show (SF was all GA).
I didn't remember a raffle, but there could have been one. I don't remember there being a lot of items auctioned. They handed us a bag of stuff when we walked in... phish tote bag, the pollock 15th anniversary waterwheel poster... i dont remember what else was in the bag... maybe someone can help me out ? there was also another thread about it yuo might wanna search for
