Can anyone explain to me what I would have to do to get a NYE ticket at the box office day of? It doesn't look like I'm gonna be able to get one online and standing in line is my only option. I'm gonna be in NYC regardless because my friends all have tickets to the show. Thanks for the help .net

plan on waiting in line 4 plus hours and getting cut by wooks left and right. There is a chance but I wouldnt bet on it

they have a cancellation line, and if i'm not mistaken, two of them. it's definitely a test of endurance of how bad you want to get in. pretty sure my buddy got in line around 1 or so and there was already a decent group. they released a fair amount of tickets (around 6ish-showtime), but some people weaseled around from the back and got tickets while we didn't have any luck. prepare to be standing in front of madison all day. i'd definitely make sure you got all your things together and have friends or someone bring you some food. your hard hardwork and willingness will pay off!

Get thwre at 1130 am im not lying, if yiu want to be first in line and ainsre you get tickets, also if your first in line when they do the release you gets yours first, probably by 630-645, then rage

the second night of spac i got there around that time and waiting in line scored 2 row center totally worth the wait

This means an early night for you 12/30, got to be devoted , you dont want to feel like ass all day, drink tons of water and eat really well i.e. healthy and light

don't drink too much water because you will have to hold your piss. it's not a bad idea to make friends with the people in front of you and behind you so that you can all band together to keep the wooks from cutting in line in front of you

I have a vauge recollection that they technically don't allow you to wait on line all day. I recall it was people standng around trying to pretend they weren't on a line.

It depends on the artists for whether or not they allow a drop line. For most major acts, MSG does set up a drop line on the right entrance on the 7th avenue side.
Generally the tickets are dropped at around 4:45 PM. For both 12/30/11 and 12/30/10 I was able to score front row sidestage Fish side off the TM website day of show. These are the same tickets they make available to the drop line. That said, for a show as big as NYE it's tough to imagine many cancellations, but you never know. If you want to be first in line, def get there before noon.
