best little ski town..... home of champaigne powder and the morning half day.........I lived there while I trained at the World footbag asso......Has some nice hot springs in zmountains... its called the yampa valley and has the sleeping giant. phish has played the inferno. the indians say the yampa valley is very powerfull and once you go , you always go back...... yeah there are locals and you will meet them in the aspen trees skiing pow..... great town... highly recomended....only mtn i ever skiied and saw the dead on the same day.....woooohoooo... in the spring drive the back roads up thru and around to green river WY......epic...

@SicMD pretty much nailed it. I've never lived there, but have been there a bunch. Best skiing in Colorado, and a great local scene.

Wow thanks guys! exactlywhat i was looking for. I lived in Vail last season and had blast despite the no snow situation. It was likebeing back in college again, non stop party. However, I want a different experience this year. I'm looking for a more laid back experience where i can focuss more on my mountain-being, something more spiritual. I had no idea about the Yampa vally, i'll have to look more into that. Thanks SicMD.

Stop by the world footbag association and see the first footbag in the hall of fame. I ve kicked it once. It was owned my mike marshall and made out of a couch. I know crazy but the hall of fame is there and is a must see.. They are locals....
