EDIT: I feel like this kind of exercise prioritizes the stuff that's really been drilled into your head over the years. This would probably be closer to my "most listened to" jams than my "these are objectively the best" list. It's a pretty cool idea.

While there are many jams that are subject to change...hell I could do the exercise again and maybe have 10 totally different jams...the one I need to mention is adding the Ambient Jam. In the 2 minute drill, I did not think outside the box. But that is for me one of the most personally significant jams they ever played and is a no-brainer for any list I write.

Personally I find this "2 minute drill of your personal favorites" exercise a lot more fun than the "analytically try to determine the best ever."

maybe it's cheating by putting in song pairings but DWD> Carini is just one huge mass of goodness. The top 3 on my list were easy, after that it got harder.

Don't knowyet which jams are going to live forever from recent years but 08/19 II is my favorite for now, Chalkdust and Carini from the FYF show are also amazing.

you play me a tape of phish of mixed dates, i will know there mixed dates but still love the hell out of them....i even love the botched ones....that is what phish is and will always be in my heart...music i cant get anywhere else..
