Times Square being blocks away from MSG means he is in NY and he doesn't even have to do Phish on the 31. I would say it makes it more likely. In fact if they were gonna do some Harpua Beiber action it would probably not be on the 31.

Sorry. If it was even possible, it would be the other way around. But it's not possible. A direct flight from NY to LA is almost six hours. Not happening even if it were flipped.

If he wanted to play in CA he would have to have his show around noon and catch a flight at 2pm CA time to get to NY by 11pm eastern time.

He's referring to the fact that they played it (a) the show after Halloween, and (b) in Utah, so it was by far the most likely show for people to skip.
