Officers with the Texas Department of Public Safety arrested a man dressed as Santa Claus in Austin Friday on charges of criminal mischief after writing with chalk on the grounds of the state Capitol building, the Austin American-Statesman reports.Wow. Merry f***ing Christmas Texas.
Video footage of the arrest was quickly uploaded to the Internet by members of Occupy Austin, which included a press release with the video detailing the incident and the group's response.
"Today I saw the jolly red elf at the Capitol, cheerfully requesting that children write their wishes for a better world in chalk on the sidewalk. Santa said his favorite word was 'Community.' Various children wrote words like 'Peace,' 'Friendship,' and 'Grace,'" Occupy Austin's Lainie Duro, a witness to the arrest, said in the statement.
In the video, peace officers can be heard saying that the man, identified by the American-Statesman as James Peterson, was the only person drawing on the sidewalk with chalk. But bystanders quickly responded that children and other adults were also drawing on the sidewalk and that they had video footage of it.
Peterson repeatedly asked why he was being arrested and was visibly distraught. According to the paper, DPS spokesman Tom Vinger said Peterson was charged with evading arrest.

Good Morning All.Working today should be slooooooww. But we had ugly hoilday sweater day. I am the winner and will try to post a pic in a few.
Off 3 days in a row which is unheard of. Gonna be great. My brother is in town today so dinner with him, Christmas party with a bunch of really close friends tomorrow, then Christmas festivities!
The party tomorrow will be a blast. We don't see each other as much as we should now that we all have kids, plus a few friends are in from out of town. Gonna get a fire going outside for us menfolk to sit around. Good times!!!

Someone made comment bout all us .netters who wont enter this thread. Well, I just wanted to prove I can do it. It was difficult and this is probably my 5 lifetime post in one of these threads. I do kind of feel naked over here though.

On the bright side apparently we will be having an omlette/crepe station at our tailgate. I figure it will either be way awesome or I'll die from salmonella. gm.net it's nutcracker home stretch over here. i have 2 performances i am photographing today.This is a studio i work frequently with, my good friend owns the studio. Every year they do a raffle and do cheesey things like a giant nutcracker and an applebees gift card. i was thinking about offering a free portrait session, but i can't decide if its worth it.

Gm weekend warriors! It Snowed! i just looked outside and told my son he immeadtly gathered his clothes snow pants and snow puts and went into the bathroom to take a shower.
we are having his xmas today becuase i cant get him on xmas eve or xmas this year, and then me and my dad are gonna show him how to get a fridge out of the basement without injuring yourself(hopefully).

@phlat_brim_kid thats a very important skill to have. It helps in other important areas of life such as getting a couch into/out of a very small 4th floor walk up apartment, and learning how to tell your friends to f*** off when they ask you to help them move.

SO my son had to go outside and play in the snow. i live an apt. basically 2 motel rooms with a wall knocked down. so thayers no front yard. he is playing in the parking lot. I gave him the snow brush for my car and told him to have at it. hes having a blast!Im gonna make him some coco

Morning all. Got the definition of a "nice little Saturday" going on today. Haircuts, costco, bank, write some bills, all sorts of shit to hunker down the homestead before christmas with the inlaws and then new york with the extended ph family. Probably start organizing stuff and packing a little even. WooHoo.Nothing to fear here, @Sprachtor, but fear it self. Just don't leave any doorknobs unattended.
