Yeah, that was a great read. Brought me back in time. I actually left a comment....It almost moved me to tears thinking about the demise of the Spectrum and how I loved that place. It was truly special every time I saw Phish play there. What saddens me the most is the band's relationship with Philly won't be the same because they loved playing there (purely speculation on my part) and the Wells Fargo Center doesn't have the same panache.
Thanks so much for finding this and spreading the word! This post goes hand in hand with my December 1995 day-by-day re-listen I just finished.
New post is up. December 1997.
My first show was that Va Beach tour opener and I recall being confused about what I was seeing/hearing versus what I had been listening to leading up to that night. Completely reinvented themselves. The next five months were some of the best times of my life.
I just came across this blog, which was started earlier this month. The first post is an in-depth look at December 95. I thought it was a pretty good read.This was a perfect mid morning read. Thank you @westbrook -

Kudos to an extremely thoughtful and well-written blog on Phish.
I think he is~Yeah, he claimed ownership on PT.
I've seen him promote it on PT too with the words "shameless promotion" hahaha![]()
@howard_roark job well-done man. Really enjoy the in-depth posts and the historical perspective you try to provide to each post. Care to provide any details on where you see the blog going now that you've covered all of the 3.0 years?
@pawkliedlice
apologies for not responding sooner. i just moved back to Korea about a month ago and seem to be too busy to keep up with PT and such at the moment. However, I am writing a great deal right now. Thank you for the kind words. Means a lot to know people are digging the site.
I've included a link here with a brand new post. I think you guys will dig it. Doing an eight part series breaking down the structure of a Phish show. Gonna dig deep into what makes different kinds of Phish shows, trying to find patterns and such. First post is on the openers. I learned quite a bit researching it, will probably pique your interests as well.
Let me know your thoughts, and thanks again for the support!
