elton_john Weird seeing Trey utilizing a capo. It was also weird seeing him tuning in the middle of a song last night. I've been to a ton of shows over the years, and I can't even remember the last time I've seen him touch his tuning pegs at all.

Raible I love that the speaker cabinet you hear each night is the same one we've heard since the Nectars days.

So awesome.

butterfly1 From Jones Beach..maybe 2010?

Dispels some common internet myths--one is where he mentions he rarely has both Tube Screamers on at the same time.

"Its better to be familiar with your gear than to have good gear". Cool.

That Mark III is gnarly.

spaced This is even better than the first part! I love how enthusiastic he is about explaining this stuff, even after all these years. I get the feeling you could easily have a 2 hour geektastic conversation with him about nothing but gear.

Also: "I used to do that for like 15 straight minutes. We don't do that anymore." Why not?! :) I miss all the loops...

cactoid this is awesome, thank you so much!

I love how he busts when he talks about how he used to do 15 minute whale calls! hahahaha

WickerAndCork Thanks a ton for posting these, the webcast "video-on-demand" doesn't include them.

So awesome watching Trey explain his gear. He's like a kid in a toy store. Love these.

So..can we hope for mikes rig sunday and monday?

Although i kinda miss the slide shows with 'facts' about the band/city. Those were fun to have on on the background while people were milling about and other music was on.

buffalo_voice Permalink
buffalo_voice I love that he is so true to his old gear. Anyone could tell that those cabinets look pretty old, and that they have been up there at every gig I've been to, but I didn't know most of the rest has as well.

I wish they'd do a half hour with each of he guys talking gear geek talk, that would be cool. Then interview the band about every song of theirs, top to bottom. Sell it as a 420 DVD set next year. You know it would sell.
