TwiceBitten I thought it was absolutely hysterical how they did the "G" theme after all. No one would have ever thought of golf...those tricky tricksters them.

I love the idea, but I kinda doubt that was the intent.

If Trey had remembered how to play Coil the other night, I may have been more open to this idea.

that would be me.

When they came out and grabbed the clubs at the beginning of the set, i had an image of them retiring at the end of the night. Golf=retirement. i vocalized it to my friend....his eyebrow rose. I thought about it here and there throughout the set.

When Page grabbed the mic at the end of the show i braced myself for what i thought he was about to say.....all the while hoping that I was wrong. then he mentioned 30 years of phish.....and my heart started pounding. seriously.

Thankfully they didnt do that to us last night. i cant imagine that we would have taken it well.

Slothberries i should add that the first song of the night, particularly some of its lyrics, also came into play during my thought process.

Turns out im just a crazy person!

i think the "mulligan" on Driver was 100% intentional. you usually take a mulligan on a drive...and how often do they really ever need to start a song over? hardly ever. Way too coincidental.

Not when you consider that (Fly Like) an Eagle is two strokes under par.

I understand how scoring works in golf, but I don't think one song in the second set was meant to fit the theme while the rest of the set does not.
