Just my opinions had a hard time between the carinis so I put them both in. This has been an awesome year of phish and all these jams(and many more) could be in any order...What is your top ten?
10.Carini 12-30-12 or 6-7-12 (Evil pure evil describes the 12-30-12 while 6-7 is much more melodic use of effects beautiful my left toe sounding)
9. Sand>Ghost 9-2-12(One of the best segues ever...sand is funky, spacy, with good peak. while ghost has a growling funk jam ends in nice space)
8. Light>Weekapaugh Groove 6-23-12(Plinko Bliss and Plinko funk at its finest)
7. Runaway Jim 8-31-12(Funky and has a very beautiful ending very overlooked IMO)
6. Rock and Roll>Ghost 8-15-12(Great improv with many themes a must listen and the ghost is the best of year with a fantastic peak)
5. Chalk Dust Torture 8-31-12(Blissful beautiful and engaging the whole way. sounds like the allmans very melodic)
4. Down with the Disease 12-30-12(Exploratory gets melodic and spacey both great sections with a hellish raging ending)
3. Tweezer 12-28-12 (Beautiful, calm, majestic with a glorious peak)
2. Crosseyed and Painless>Light>Sneakin Sally 8-19-12(The trio of the year tremendous flow awesome segue into sally, exploratory beautiful xeyed, funky page led effects B3 bashing light, peaking sally...awesome)

I would say the 7/6/12 Sally > Ghost deserves a mention here as well as the 6/7/12 Ghost > Boogie and the 6/15/12 Birds were both among the best jams of 2012.

the 7/6/12 Sally> Ghost is never discussed. Although i see @inthatweekapauggroove has done so.That is the most unsung star jam of 12.

6. DCU Ghost> Boogie On - Great jams, Boogie On would have been the best ever if they kept that last theme going for a little longer. Still an awesome segment

4. AC Birds of a Feather-> BOTT - flawless segue, amazing Birds jam
3. BGCA Crosseyed-> Light-> Sally-> Crosseyed
2. Dicks Light - Saweeet
1. Dicks Sand-> Ghost - Sand=best of 3.0, maybe ever
honorable mention to the Charlotte Tweezer it would have been on the list if not for 12/28
and the AC Billy Breathes left me stunned at the time and still probably my most listened to song of 2012. You can even hear Trey letting off a sigh of relief after nailing the solo

I'm raging on that DWD/Carini from 12-30.Light was my all time fav of 2012, with Sand coming close on the top 5 list.
Yes, That SPAC Piper was insane.
Can't list em, they are all very well improvised and magical.

I agree that the Cincy Twist should be in there, I disagree with what you said about the two NYE jams on the list. I'd put the Tweezer and Wolfman's high up.
