For everyone saying Trey goes crazy with effects, this might change your mind. I could have watched Mike go on for another 20 minutes.
He now uses Meyer cabinets, one 700-HP (I believe), 2 500-HP one tuned for low and one for his higher low end and a lot of his filters and effects, he has a smaller pair of 10" headers on top for all them slaps and that nasty mound solo. I love his new sound. It's even nicer sounding on the recordings, this range of speakers gives him great tonality, such an amazing range. Love the cactus so much.
I was thrilled to see this!! I actually bought myself guitar lessons this Christmas (for after my thumb heals, for those .netters that met me in a hand cast on 12/30) - I am psyched to see both Mike and Trey's rigs and effects. Mike especially, because as sort of mentioned above, I don't think he gets all of the love for the effects that are actually coming from him. He set off some well played bombs this run with that new setup.
