So What is your favorite Set of the New Years run .net? I didn't say best, I said Favorite. I think mine has to be 12/31 set II but 12/30 should pull some weight. WHat say you!?

12/30 set II, 12/31 set II was damn close but Carini took the bacon for the whole run for me

Set II of 12/30 will dominate the choices on this thread. i wish we could do polls on .net (take note .net mods).

I'm gonna go with Set II of 12/30 by a long shot. Set II of NYE in a fairly distant second.

I honestly loved the 1st set 12/29.
Best show over all toss up. 12/28-12/30.
I miss being in garden dancing with all my friends. I love you all.

This is a personal choice, of course.
Plenty of dancing room, happy people surrounding me, perfect mindset.
Certainly one of the best.
12/30 1st set rates close. So joyful during 1st set. Ya Mar, among other highlights, still make me smile.

I really enjoyed 12/31 set 2!!!! YEM was amazing! Trey and the boys looked so happy up there. Also set 3 opener! party time!!!! Maybe it was just the vibes and all the excitement! 12/31 raged!!!!!

For me, either Set II from 12/28 or 12/30; NYE's Set II was really strong too though and had a good flow, and I really enjoyed the way they made Set III flow, too. Fly Like An Eagle sounded fantastic!

Enjoyed the entire run, but this one takes the cake.

I got a text from someone asking what my favorite set of the New Years run was... After trying to figure that out for days, I still don't know. Each night was AMAZING for different, unique reasons. I am realizing that these last four Phish shows were some of the best ever, and that is my opinion, but also for me, very hard to deny.

12/28/12 was just mind blowing, and I was on the floor and it really was actually way too much. I lost myself losing myself in it. Wolfmans in the first set was like the best thing ever. Second set had that 20 minute amazing in every way Tweezer and also Twist. So dang good.

12/29/12 I was in section 220, which felt good after being smacked in the skull with super quality Phish the night before on the floor. So I sat back and got ready for a show, where they would play chilling songs that the sound would bounce off the waves of the crowd. Pun intended on that one. Reba and Bathtub Gin were among the best I have ever seen. Set two had that awesome slowness to it, with some jacked up boogie on funk in the middle. Another awesome, life changing, next level night. Oh, and Sugar Shack of course.

12/30/12 was awesome again. I was on the floor, with pretty much all of my friends this night. All I can say is Carini. Just when I thought this song was not going to be used as a crazy dark second set jam vehicle, I was wrong. It was a blast being with my friends, in that east section, dancing with each other and feeling the music and getting low.

12/31/12 was the best show I have ever been to. It had the best crowd I have ever been a part of (thank you guys!) and I loved being in section 112, just a few seats up from Page, who obviously was the hero of the run, and on this night.

The second set of 12/31/12 is really special to me, because I was with my friend, who also happens to be a beautiful woman, who I had not hung out with since 2008 or so, and she was so excited and I told her that if they don't play Ghost, 2001, and YEM in the same set that night, our friendship is over! Well they did, and that was incredible. We danced and got strange and my entire section and the entire building jumped off that night.

So that leads to the last set.... The gag. The best gag I have ever seen (I have been to 4 NYE shows now) and how can it not be my favorite set, when my hero, Page Mcconnell, is hitting out golf balls, wearing a hat and singing Iron Man and closing 2012 and opening 2013.

Sorry long read, but putting these thoughts on here is what I felt I should do. Anyone want to talk about this hard to answer question? Does anyone KNOW easily which set was their favorite?
