JayDubya Our Fishman,
Who art in rhombus,
W00kie be thy name.
These hippies come
With guitar and drum
On tour as it is in Gamehendge.
Give this day our daily toke
And forgive us our WSP stats
As we forgive spreadheads that come to our Phish shows.
And lead us not into the Biscuits
But deliver us from Umphrey's

Apparently, my wife had told her she had to wait for me to go out and play in the snow. We went out and did the snow angel, snowman, roll around in the snow thing for about 2 hours. What an awesome way to come home from a show!

Carini is probably most peoples first choice.

Depending on what kind of Phish gets you off, equal arguments can be made for...

12/28 wolfman
12/30 dwd
12/31 Ghost> piper is nothing to scoff at. Piper actually produced one of my favorite grooves of the weekend.
12/30 slave and antelope were both very well executed and played with a lot of passion

It was -15 at 7:30 this morning. Not sure what we are up to now. High for the day is supposed to be 13, I think we'll be lucky to hit that.

Laid back down after that and had some super-vivid dreams. A couple of the anxiety variety, no doubt regarding work. And then an interesting phishy one where they went from the verse of 20 Years Later into the chorus (It got awaaaayyyyy...) of Coil. They went through the full chorus, it was like they knew they had messed up, then stopped. Very vivid.

So last night I was driving home listening to NYE on my livephish when it crashes. As I'm messing with it I get pulled over (hands free in Nevada folks!). DriedupGoliath Having trouble with girlfriend/mother problems. My mother is incredibly needy, and hasn't accepted the fact that I've grown up, have moved out, am 23, have a steady job, and a girlfriend I want to be with for the rest of my life. To her, I'm still her baby, and she wants to be the most important female in my life, and doesn't really like that I'm living with my girlfriend. When I went home to visit over the holidays, she broke down (after a few glasses of wine) and told me, with my girlfriend standing right there, that she feels like she's lost me as a son and that she's not important to me anymore. Sure, she can think that, but saying it in front of my girlfriend lacks a lot of tact. It's also a bit insensitive because my girlfriend actually lost her father to life-long sickness a few months ago, and my mother hasn't actually "lost" me, especially given I call her every 2-3 days to catch and see what she's up to. Now my girlfriend feels awkward and unwelcome around my mother, and all I want is for everybody to just shut up and get along. Is that too much to want?

Youre right. what your mother said was insensitive. Without knowing anything about her, Id say give her a pass. She just misses you and misses you "needing" her like you used to.

Just assure her that she will always be your mom and will always be a very important person in your life.

This struck a nerve with me. No boy can ever be a man if he doesn't spend time with his family. You only have one Mom, how many girlfriends have you had? I am the primary go to for my mom my pop died bro lives 200 miles away, I have had girls not understand that I get calls from my mom I am going to answer them, I am going to call her back, I am going to do what she needs me to do. She is my mom. Don't let a GF get between you and your family. There is a compromise and blaming your mom is not it. I also feel like if she is willing to say it even after a couple of glasses of wine and in front of your girl she is more part of her life then you think. What I would assume is she is reaching out to both of you and it took a couple of glasses of wine for her to do it. Be a man and find the happy medium, trust me it is worth. She needs to get to know your GF personally so she knows she is wife material then I bet she becomes a lot more happy. Moms are great don't loose out on time with yours.

I understand the need to keep Mom close, that's why I text her daily, and call once every 2-3 days for 30-40 minutes to catch up on our lives. I've been specifically trying to keep in touch with her since I've moved away (I live 4 hours away now that I've graduated), but her saying that "she's lost me as a son" really hurt given how much I've tried.
