I will say I loved the cold weather when I was up there. If felt so refreshing. I realize that is a novelty that would quickly wear off. The snow was simply amazing!!

Not as bad as it was, but not great.

chris200w Good afternoon. This winter has been a personal worst for me so far. Refreshing is about the last word I'd use to describe this routine:
Image

I came into work yesterday and was told to move to a new cube. Another downgrade, but at least this one doesn't have blood splatter on the walls. A bottle of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar was left behind by the last occupant. I don't think I'll be sampling it.

JayDubya I was taking a piss when they started to tease Little Drummer Boy. Luckily I left the door open so I could yell Pah Rum Pum Pum through the house.

I love how they close it down, then come back to a weird, trippy, barely recognizable Little Drummer boy before slinking back into Wolfman's.

Definitely fun.

johnnyd That was also one of those "different in the room" things - like you could feel that they were playing and toying with the room and sound, maxing out the output, saying, "OK lets see what we got under the hood this year!"

And of course you all know I'm a low end addict. So there's that.

johnnyd N1 was the blur for me, mainly due to the traffic on the way down that set us WAY behind, then resultant accellerated imbibing. But as I relisten, it turns out my memory is pretty complete and accurate so far.

2 and 4 I am solid on. Overall calling it a solid job of maintaining.

And I just started self-medicating for my back with some scotch. I did a ton of shit for a day I should have been just laying flat. I would have taken a nice long walk, but the temp peaked around 10. Its not that the cold deterred me in general, but specifically I dont think those frigid temps would help at all with the tightness, and probalby be a detriment. But now as much as the acute injury, I have a different extremely tight/borderline pulled muscle thats a direct result of favoring the pain. derp.

This has been a gimpy medical update by @johnnyd...

TheEmu Whew. Ivy is home, and I finally feel like I can breathe again, I think for the first time since Saturday morning.

I am now officially looking forward to re-listening to MSG. DwD and Carini were probably the best jams I have ever heard live, with the exception of the Riverport Gin. Also, I had a profound emotional experience listening to the Reba, even if it's not gonna live up on tape.

Hope the scotch is treating your back well, @johnnyd. You provided one of the top highlights of my first trip to New York City. You continue to be el hombre.

One of my New Year's resolutions: meet and hang with @JayDubya.

So I've been home almost 24 hours. It sucks here. This will be my last negative post about being home, I promise... but... it just sucks so much! First day back at work...sucked. Trying to tell ppl about how awesome my trip was and them just looking at me... "..you mean you didn't go to times square?". If I hear someone say "what's a phish" one more time...I want to have someone to re-watch the run with and be excited all over again.
It was really emotional for me being in a place with so many people that feel IT. I bummed myself out for a bit...but it didn't last too long. I couldn't not be excited and buzzing from the energy.
I love you guys in a most real way.
Someone stole my garbage cans, so I have to go get me some fancy new ones.

Ednaz @missblue75, I think you have Phish depression. I've had it several times..terrible after SPAC this year, I cried for like 2 days after I returned home.

I almost went into the southern run concerned about being feeling sad after the shows were over. @Axilla_part_2_not_part_1 reminded me to be thankful for the experience that I was about to have. I changed my perspective and have never looked back.

Do something special for yourself..like, buy a sequin tank top. Make sure you download the shows and listen to them real loud and dance around your place. Forget that other people don't get it and be proud that you do!! Most of all be thankful..gah, it was so f***ing fun wasn't it?! It was a treat to meet you.. :)

It WAS so "FUCKING" FUN! I am very grateful for having had the opportunity to be there for such an epic show. What an opening for what is to come this year. AAAaaaaaand... if there is a midwest party, I'll be all over that with out having to burn extensive amounts of vacation time! More time for more shows in other places!!! I'm getting myself pumped reading the rumors.
It was like meeting up with long lost family members, putting faces to handles. the challenge for me will be changing handles to actual names. I can't wait to meet you again!
I'll get over the sad thing. I kinda seem to take comfort in the sweet sorrow of parting...to look toward coming together again.

the first night my friend text me at five saying he was an hour away and then he hit typical friday night at 6 traffic by Hoboken.

The second night my one friend took the train down and got in at like six so we went straight into the show.

We got to the meat up on the 30th at like 6:00 or so which was good for us

and then the last night we all napped until almost 5:30, lol. We went to go into Irish Times and my friend realized he left his ID AT MY PLACE ON NYE IN NY-FUCKING-CITY, lol. He went inside the venue and my other friend and I hit the bar.
