I think I know what you're talking about. A lot of people that night swore they heard a tease. I think that was just Trey melting faces and being Trey. He was f***ing on ALL weekend, and may have peaked in that Carini jam.
I don't know -- but I like it. I like it A lot.
And I thought the jam was going to take off even more from there....was sad we only got one refrain of the sweet lick that Trey drops in there.
Don't get me wrong that DwD-Carini is still one of my favorite Phish moments...and not just 3.0.

I could just drape myself in this Carini.
Around the 13 minute mark it gets very clear and heavy but I after re-listening I start to hear it around 12:15. I noticed it that night and old western war chants came to mind. Felt like we were going into battle. Wish it kept building more and more but we got BDTNL

The jam does have this song as a tone, but that one lick Trey throws in at the end does not appear in the video you link to. It seems very specific, I still wonder if it comes from somewhere else...

Right at 13:42 is the quote.
This is a great Carini but I think the dicks Carini takes the cake for me. For 2012 at least.
