List your favorite solo that Trey played for any given year(s). Why do you love it?For example, here are a couple of mine...
1997: Taste 7/22/97 - Aside from the 32nd note rampage toward the end, Try's phrasing here is really marvelous. He delivers theme after theme and meanders through the chord progression in harmonically strange ways.
2012: Light 8/19/12 - I'm talking about the portion just before Sally when the band starts to hint at the syncopation. Just a storm of criminally nasty blues licks.

Big fan of the '97 cow funk stuff like the 7/23/97 Ghost. Anything that's just about that in-the-pocket funk groove is what I really dig.

These are only the ones I can call without a question my favorites from the year. List is entirely subjective so suck it87- Curtain With 8/29
91- YEM 7/26. Not a long one at all, but Trey shredding + horns......drools
92- Hood 4/18
97- Stash 7/2
00- Moma 9/29. Whole show is great until Kid Rock came out. Phish, you are still not forgiven for letting that swine share a stage with you
03-Hood 7/25
09- Waves-> ASIHTOS 6/10
10- Fluffhead 10/16
88-89 are missing, but any Whipping Post from those years are in the running, just raw energy
93-96 are missing because duh. Same goes for 98-99
04 is missing because I like to pretend that year doesn't exist
11-12 are missing because I still need to take more time to listen to them
I would also like to add that all early 90's Possums kill. Especially 92. They are dangerous though as they have been known to induce erections lasting for over 4 hours... generally full of secret language signals too
