Now this winter can get underway, it was sure starting to blow around here with no hockey. The Lions were a joke, I'm not sure if The Pistons even play anymore, Baseball is 3 months away, and all we got is college hoops (Michigan is doing GREAT and nobody is even paying attention).
This calls for celebration. I have to dig back almost 2 years and bump one of the earliest Workingman's Wednesdays...

Last night I took my lady to go iceskating, she hasn't skated in forever since playing in college. I could tell she missed it when watching the junior world games yesterday, so I said f*** it lets go. (I only ice skated once as a kid) I told her how Avery & Lundqvist sponsored this relief show in Asbury Park at the Paramount a few days ago my mom dukes worked at. Lundqvist told friend of mine who he was sitting with that the lockout would be over soon & the season will start 95% sure. She woke me up this morning so stoked & happy. Now I can finally take her to a NHL game. I mean, how does someone who was Miss Michigan in hockey never been to a professional game. I'm plan on buying some Red Wing vs Devils tickets soon. Holyshit though are my legs sore from skating! She was by far the best skater in the building.

yea just doesnt seem right, hockeys great because it starts in fall when its shitty out and theres nothing to do but watch hockey, now half the season will be in spring.

has anybody heard how they will work the schedule? I assume just pick it up as it stands. It seems like it would be way to much work to put a new one together in such a short amount of time
