Found a minute to check in. It's only been a few days but I miss hanging out in this thread!
@n00b100 I was texting and tweeting yesterday that leaving RG3 in was worthy of getting either Shannahan fired. If they put Cousins in at the half I think the Skins could have won that game. I am a Giants fan so by default I hate the other NFC East teams but I really like RG3 and was pulling for them yesterday. Plus my brother lives in DC and is Skins fan. When RG went down for the count I was legitimately mad. Should have never gotten that far.
Ok I had to get that off my chest.
Glad Hockey is back. Now I can get to one of my favorite winter hobbies, telling Bruins fans (@penguin) how over rated Chara is!!
Hope everyones week is off to a good start hope to be back sooner rather than later!
OK, here goes 12.30.12 II for the first time in full.If you can, close your eyes during the Carini jam. It helps.
This should improve the day.

Not through DWD yet and already want to kick myself in the nuts repeatedly for not going.
Holy shit. You called it dude. I remember you clearly stating that the 30th would be balls simply because you wouldn't be there. Unfortunately, you were right.

I think I said this somewhere else but I am in love with 20 Years Later now. It is the meat of this amazing jam sandwich and fits perfectly in there. I love it.
Holy shit.Yeah. That was a tough one to get home and webcast. I have some mixed feelings, though. I would have LOVED to be there for that, obviously. But I also have a weird sense of pride in myself for not pushing my way into staying in NYC for another day. I mean, yeah, it sucks knowing that I could have been there, but my family was sick and I had to get home and take care of them. It's probably the first time in years that I haven't been greedy when it comes to shows.

Frankly, I after listening to it a few times, I thought I'd be more pissed off than I am.
:kicks self in nuts for good measure:
I think Mike just made it thunder at 4:00. Like someone hitting a gigantic piece of hanging sheet metal.

:kicks self in nuts too, not sure why:
You sound like a good guy. Props for putting your family first.Stars must have aligned properly, 'cause I'm not that good a guy. 9 times out of 10 I'm making excuses as to how it's completely impossible for me to make it from NYC back home to Philly. "Nope, it's funny, I thought there were trains/buses/planes home as well. Sorry honey, looks like it's impossible to make it home. Have fun with the kids!"
:kicks self in nuts too, not sure why:
Holy shit.I feel the same way. This was the one I had the free ticket to. OUCH. I just brought myself to listen to the Carini yesterday.

Finally over the MSG w00k flu, the contraction of which totally pissed me off since I never did any of the typical w00k flu getting activities. Good times.
Carry on, pleasure to drop by! :-)
Sounds like a combination of "no good deed goes unpunished" and "good clean livin'" gone awry...
I'm having trouble changing my avatar. Is there an amount of times you can change it before they stop letting you?Just donate $2,500 and you can pretty much change whatever the hell you want.
/JK, wait a while. Sometimes it takes quite a while for the change to appear. And then some people will say they see it, while others still have the old one.
All I want is for my avatar to be this:That is what I see it as.

Awkward.
We've actually been talking about the cats...with this baby on the way..a big concern is these cats...we don't know how they will be around a newborn..
I'll probably just listen to their excuse/reasoning, and get my key back.
They are very nice people, and seem to be very responsible in general. I'm as much befuddled as anything (ok, maybe not, I'm really pissed too, but swallowing that) as to how this could have happened, multiple times now, and they failed to even call or text us, when we repeatedly ask them to do so if anything comes up.
How do you bring up the subject? "so my cats were almost dead? Got a minute?"they'll be fine...mostly ignore it, look at it with disgust when it cries and eventually come around to it. it's not going ot jump into the crib and suck out its milky breath. i grew up with cats, had them from the time i was born.

simple solution to keep them out of the crib...shut the bedroom door
They are ok overall, nothing serious.
Just had a funny memory from NYE - as Light as winding down and before it really turns into 2001, some dude behind us exclaims, "If they play 2001 next, just smack me in the face!" (I didn't, not sure if any of his friends did.)
I am developing quite the bank of great experiences leading into 2001.
Here's what it made me think of immediately. I wish I could introduce these two on w00kin for love!
How do you bring up the subject? "so my cats were almost dead? Got a minute?"Cats are usually cool you just need to not let them in the room when the baby is sleeping. They are known to sleep on babies and smother them. Not on purpose of course but it has happened. We had dogs and a cat when we had our daughter and for the most part everything went fine. We used to take in rescues and help re home them and we had one we decided to keep when we had they baby but she got so overly protective we had to let her go. We found a nice home near the beach for her though. She wasn't a threat to us or the baby but when we would take her out with the baby she was overly aggressive towards anyone that came around.

I'm in the middle (actually last third) of reading the walking dead compendium one. Same story line as the show so far..for the most part...couple of differences between characters from the book and characters from the tv show...seems they'll mix it up on the tv show...what happens to someone in the book..might happen to someone else in the tv show..going to try to finish it up along with watching the Notre Dame game..
Go Irish!
Also..it's supposed to be in the 50's this week..I love winters like this...
Got apologies and explanations from the dad of the girl that was the alleged catsitter. Didnt amount to much more than "derp." Oh well, guess we'll screen a little better next time.
So.
Crimson Tide, huh? I'm sure a million jokes have been made but I'm not sure I've really heard them in the past.
Describing the defense: "Notice the way the Tide flows to the ball..."
On the long break: "Its been just about a month since we last saw the Crimson Tide..."
etc etc
