Sam's #3 - http://samsno3.com/ (diner, not fancy but excellent)
Squeaky Bean - http://thesqueakybean.net/ (a bit more fancy, definitely check it out!)
Sushi Den (as mentioned previously) is also great.
Also tons of good food in Larimer Square - http://restaurants.larimersquare.com/

You must also go to a Santiago's (there are several throughout the city) for a breakfast burrito with green chili.

Santiagos breakfast burritos are amazing. (just finished one on my way into work)
Root Down is another restaurant worth looking into. Check their website.
For seafood, also check out Jax Fish House.
Absolutely skip Casa Bonita. It's the worst Mexican food I've ever had and the restaurant itself is beyond cheesy and dirty. Do not eat there!I put that on there as a joke of course. Yes the food is heinous. Yes the atmosphere is dirty. There is a just a novelty thing about that restaurant in Denver. Its been on South Park. Actually, I heard somewhere that the restaurant shut down. Can anyone confirm?

Stranahan's is a great distillery and they have awesome food!! http://www.stranahans.com/home/
Buckhorn Exchange has all kinds of exotic meats and things.
AND if you're a dead head -- check out Sancho's Broken Arrow (just a bar, no food - but a cool atmosphere)
Cool River is very good also, but pretty pricey and thats down in the DTC area.

@cupuscakus. What was the name of that joint that had my cheesy tots? Maybe they'll have fish bowl bloodys for dude and his girl. The Berkshire. SO good.
Everything is super authentic but they have the english descriptions so you actually know what you are ordering. The kicker is that this place is in a strip mall (there is another restaurant with the same owners downtown but its more $$) and the dining area is pretty small. You need to call ahead for reservations. Dinner will be $15-$25 per dish, and if you want a steak its more like $30-35.

Do you like Italian food? There is a really good place south of the city by the tech center. It is called Chianti's. I love this place. There are always a bunch of middle aged Italian men with good jokes and awesome hospitality as your waiters.Sign'd on this!! It is near my work and we like up go there for fancy work lunches (when the company is paying). The food and service are excellent!!
