Please, if you disagree for whatever reason, or know of other sources saying different or same information, voice your opinion and or knowledge of rumors, this is just what I have been told and what I am currently being teased about.

I've worked with this vending company a few times. They usually run multiple booths of different band memorabilia and general gear for all fests. A co-worker showed me a picture of paper work as the bosses "proof" to a dozen or so chosen employees. The date was still blank. This is usually how the boss leaks sensitive information earlier than he should, showing he's serious so team leaders can request days off from their jobs giving us exact dates as soon as he can.

The boss made a payment for five booths and included Watkins Glen address multiple times and a couple different permits. One is for a private party, the other is Watkins Glen and another for a temp beer license in the middle of nowhere. Nothing was printed or mentioned pertaining to Phish, a festival or anything, just location and exchange of money deposit.

But wait... there's more...

The boss is pulling together a team of veteran workers, paying their travel to arrive a week early in NY and celebrate a few days before the fest. Again, no date - at least not that I was told.

I know this only because I was denied working since I'm not a "veteran" of the company and had it rubbed in my face by a "veteran" friend/co-worker.

That's all I got.

edit: well the "camp party" that is "in the middle of no where" might be for all the employees as an appreciation. Most of us will be at the fest no matter what, no matter where.

Actually it fits this situation perfectly.

I believe it depicts McKayla Maroney's displeasure with her silver-medal vault performance during the Summer 2012 Olympic Games. She was a heavy favorite in the event but broke her toe before the games started, thus causing her to not perform to her own expectations, thus leading to this face on the medal stand, and thus, the meme.

In short, @TheBag, I too wish Phish would have won the gold in Women's Vault in London 2012. Maybe they'll redeem themselves in WG this year... although I am suspect.

I was told they would not have a fest close to July 4th again favoring instead late July or early August.

If phish plays horde and a fest 10 in the summer, maybe they're gonna do fest 10 in August for end of summer tour like the Ball, Went, Lemonwheel, etc?

But,
A friend of mine pours wine at a local winery (we're about 10 mins north of Watkins) and a few weeks ago some track executives came in, sampled wine, got a little loose, and apparently began discussing phish, in regards to a 2013 fest...This is all I've heard so far.

(BTW, If you couldn't guess, the WG in my name stands for Watkins glen... Born and raised. Lived here my whole life, except when I'm away at school.)

Not happening. I am sticking firmly. I do feel Phish is going to release dates early this year for some reason though so we shall find out hopefully soon.

not really. we couldn't move the ball for shit. either way, this year went way better than i anticipated. peyton only nailed down 3 wins his rookie year. even with a much better supporting cast than peyton had, preseason, i was thinking 7-8 wins was pretty optimistic. ballard, hilton, and luck all look like they are going to be straight up players.

i hope your boys knock the shit out of the pats in 2 weeks!!

I am not sold on Denver this week. Last year I had no expectations, this year we are sitting in perfect position and really primed for a deep playoff run. Then this whole Lewis retirement fiasco...reminds me a lot of Bettis and his retirement a couple years ago. Still, we have to play our worst game and they have to play their best game. But Manning isn't the best playoff QB I have ever watched, that's for sure.

Oh well, roll the dice and let them land as they may.
