Phan Stories (for phish doc)

WilsonShmilson Permalink
Thirty years of Phish and thirty years of phans. As I am in the preliminary stages of producing a documentary centered around Phans, I want to know YOUR stories about the guys. All of your adventures/memories/stories are welcome, literally anything under the sun. Vet or noob, let's hear the stories behind why we continue to follow Big Red, Fish, Cactus, and the Chairman of the Boards.

WGphan92 ive always had an ear for music, since i was a young lad, and no band was ever able to satisfy all of my musical wants and needs until i discovered Phish a few years ago. There was something about their sound that hooked me right from the start. I knew i was going to be a fan, but never imagined to what extent. Three years later and my passion is still growing, and with each day I become more and more dragged in. I saw 5 shows last year (lets say SBIX is 3 shows in this example), and 4 this past year, hoping to hit at least 5 more this coming year, and more each year after. I cant get enough, and I know im not alone in that department.

Ive also never encountered a stronger bond between the fans from any other musical communities out there. After my 9 Phish shows so far, i am fully convinced that Phish fans are the nicest people you'll ever meet. at least in my experiences. When im at a show, I am among my people, and I can almost say i feel more at home than i do when im actually at home.

only personal story i have about the band members is when I met mike at a Watkins Glen bar the night before the first day of SBIX. he was very approachable and easy to talk to. Contrary to what he may say in song, yes 'he are a nice guy."

uMM I always thought it was a double negative
