I really, really hope they play at Bethel Woods again this summer. One of the best experiences I've had in my life. Anbody think we have a good chance of another Memorial Day weekend or some early summer run at the beautiful site that one held the greatest festival of all time??

TAB is booked for a "festival" that weekend. So no Memorial Day Phish at Bethel. Maybe later in the summer. That would be awesome. I loved it up there. Great venue. But I think they are sticking with SPAC for now. I don't think the band or a lot of fans had a positive experience in the area (while some of us did, I hear conflicting reports).

I think I am the only Phish fan who hated everything about Bethel Woods except for the venue itself and the shows. The town cannot handle all of our fans and if you are not camping it sucks. The had no power for over week becuase of that bad storm. If they play at Bethel again I will not be going back. sorry for hating

Yasgurs camping dicked over a lot of fans. We had to scramble to get a hotel an hour out, which lost power, had no running water, and gave our room away. Fortunately we were upgraded to a cabin with no water,power,ac,etc. We basically had to pay $ to camp in a cabin. The worst part was across the river in Pennsylvania they had power. I also think I got sick bathing in the river. Woe is me. Thank the phish gods those shows were KICK ASS!!! Thanks for playing Bethel but lets give another area a try

Threw on Bethel N1 2nd set after this thread. I forgot how good this run was. First show out of the gates? Are you f***ing kidding me? Awesome, awesome run. Even N3 had some good moments.

I got a campsite for Bethel off of Craigslist, and had one of the greatest weekends ever with my buds. It did look kind of nasty over at the other campsites, and I heard a lot of gripes about Yasgur's, but man the vibe of that place couldnt be beat, imo.Saratoga is just as good - the energy there is unbelievable, like even the planet is bubbling to the surface and exploding!

Sorry you had a bad experience at Bethel, seriously. I was also a victim of Yasgur's debacle. Fortunately a .netter hooked me up with a hotel room. I'll admit that it was crappy and overpriced, but at least we had power and water. If I go to another Bethel show, you can bet your ass I'll be snagging a spot at Hector's.

I honestly saw people with nitrous tanks right in front of the fuzz in the lots and they didn't budge. It seemed to me they were more worried about everyone just exiting.

I've heard stories of the cops hassling people at Bethel, and I'm inclined to believe them, although I didn't have any run-ins.

what are you guys talking about?!! SPAC Lawn is awesome and totally reasonable, great calf workout, its like whoever designed it knew i wanted to stand on my tippy toes for 3 hours.
