Happy Friday .net!
With the 20th anniversary of Rift coming up soon(February 2nd), I feel like we should recreate Rift, but with some of the top performances of songs. Rift is by far my favorite album in terms of cohesiveness, and many of the songs from album were a staple for the band. At some point I'll take everyones suggestions, download the specific versions, and put it up on mediafire.
So to start off, I'd nominate Superball Mound(7/3/11).

My Friend My Friend 11/26/94I definitely enjoy some of the Rift songs performed before the album was released. Rift itself in it's early stages are really interesting to listen to. FEFY in the early 90's were excellent!
Maze 10/18/96
Fast Enough For You 11/19/92
Favorite studio album by the boys. Hope this thread catches steam.
Rift is, by far, my favorite Phish album too.

FEFY should be the studio version. The pedal steel is just too gorgeous.Ahhhh the pedal steel is amazing! The first performance(11-19-1992) has a Pedal Steel player. I'm definitely checkign this show out soon!

I know Trey has gone on record saying that he looks back at Rift with a little dismay because (Paraphrasing) the music was "pouring out" at that time in their career, yet they stuck to a slightly "concept" album. Either way, I still LOVE the album.

@Capricornio said:Yea I find that really interesting to consider. In hindsight, it's always possible to realize you could've done more, or done better. But if they produced it better, I can't imagine what would've come from it. Before I saw Phish the first time, I listened to Rift on a daily basis. It's just a great album top to bottom.FEFY should be the studio version. The pedal steel is just too gorgeous. Rift is, by far, my favorite Phish album too.I totally agree.
