Kapernick looks like he is unstoppable at this point. He throws darts all over the field with precision, makes the right decisions with the ball, he runs that read option better than RGIII, which opens everything up for the rest of the offense. I mean, he made GB look like a college team yesterday. If Kapernick kept the ball, he ran it for 20+ yards. When they keyed on him, he handed it to Gore, who would run 20 yds untouched. How do you stop that? Oh yeah....you dont.
Couple that with a defense thats as good as any defense in the league and youre looking at a championship team....
SF IN 2013
Congrats. You guys looked f***ing good yesterday. Amazing things happened. Thanks man. That second half was as one sided a half as youre gonna see.
GB was beaten into submission. They simply gave up in the 4th quarter
BUT...i also said to my friend at the time that you gotta figure that Harbaugh knows his team and knows his players better than anyone else. If he thinks that Kapernick is a better option, then he probably is.
Fuck....the guy went into New England and pwned the Patriots (in bad weather)....he rushed for nearly 200 yds in his first playoff appearance. I think that I, and the rest of the football world, owes Jim harbaugh an apology.
I still feel bad for Smith...but it is what it is. At least the coach didnt send him in to mop up yesterday.
The niners were my preseason pick to win it all. I see no reason to back off that choice. Plus, you're giving the rock to my boy James!!!James looked great yesterday too. shit, ANY rb is gonna look great when they have Kapernick to take the pressure off of them.
Theyre just so fast.....in all aspects of the game. Its been a long time since Ive seen a team play the game with such speed
I dont feel bad for alex smith, he lost his job to his coaches guy. Smith was game manager ala trent dilfer! Def and special team adn the running game was the reason that team was winning.
Kaepernick is actually winning the games from the quarterback position
@MiguelSanchez said:I loved James in college, and I think he could be a great Darren sproles type for you guys. I love harbaugh too. I think the most impressive thing to me was the kid went out and made a bonehead throw for a pick 6 right off the bat in his first playoff start...then shook it off like nothing happened and took care of business. That's clutch.good point. He could have easily shit the bed after that first pick.
Don't see anyone in the NFC left to stop you. NE and Baltimore will play a good game against you.Seattle is pretty tough. I think they will impose their will on a soft falcons team today, which will set up a very intriguing NFC championship game
I gotta be honest....they scare me a little bit.
Personally, the niners should have put the packers out of their misery in the end of the 1st or 2nd quarter...but they didn't. Complete domination only matters on the scoreboard, it ended up that way but if I was a San Fran fan I would be a little worried about this. They need to capitalize more and if they do this...they could go all the way.
Thank you for the quiet morning (and rest of the year) in Wisconsin 49ers.
Gotta give Rodgers and the pack credit for staying in the game as long as they did. The guy is an elite QB and he made some incredible throws....James jones made a few great catches.

As a SF fan, im not worried about their inability to put the GB packers away in the 1st half. lol
As a SF fan, im not worried about their inability to put the GB packers away in the 1st half. lolOf course, getting a big lead when you can in the playoffs is soooo overrated!
@Slothberries said:again....They did what they had to do yesterday. The game was even after one half of play, and the niners adjusted and came out and dominated in the second half. Im not sure what more you can ask of a team in post season play!As a SF fan, im not worried about their inability to put the GB packers away in the 1st half. lolOf course, getting a big lead when you can in the playoffs is soooo overrated!
I am sure the missed opportunities will be discussed by harbaugh this week. If they capitalized at every given moment then yes, they could be a team no one wants to play. But you aren't going to get some schmoes from here on out. I think we can both agree the packers were out of place since go (minus the pick 6) shit they didnt even look like they belonged in the playoffs yesterday.
To be elite, you need to keep your foot on the gas to win out and hoist the lombardi.
Best of luck to your niners @slothberries, I am not picking a bone with you just getn my Ron Jaworski on in this thread.
^i hear you man, they dominated. I think they even were up 3 at half. My point is, this is the playoffs and you need to excel at every opportunity. Personally, I wish the niners did this so the score was 58-21.I would argue that the reason for this is because they were completely overmatched. The Packers are hardly schmoe's

and dont worry bout pickin bones. Its sports talk! Its all good.....even though im tempted to smash you in the face with a shovel!!!! Listening to what youre saying, one would think that the niners played the jags yesterday and barely eked out a W.
I too think they will make it to the SB. Honestly, the big wild card here is the Falcons. I saw them play games this year where they looked unstoppable, but towards the end of the year they started to flounder pretty good, kinda like the Packers. If the real ATL shows up when (if) they play the 49'ers, that will be an interesting game.
I would like to see Brady and Co. get another shot at him.

The packers did look like the jags yesterday. And as far as the eeked out a win thing, the games over. As of today, that game means nothing and niner fans should know how one thing going wrong or not capitalizing when given the opportunity can hurt you...that is all.
I have grown to realize I view the game of football differently than most. I focus on a teams weaknesses rather than strengths, because after all, that's what will make or break your season...just ask the d of GB, Ross the punt returner, think of what cost the niners in the 2011/12 season, or ask me (a bears fan).
@slothberries as someone who watches the packers more than most packer fans...they were average schmoes yesterday. Defenese was bland, as was the ofrense and no adjustments on either side. Very few spies on 7 when he was burning them all game, that's not a playoff team. Packers expected to win but carried out very little execution or adjustments to do so.What happened with the bears this year? Their D was all world for a couple of months.

What are their most glaring weaknesses? is it the coach? is it the qb? is it forte? I like that team...but for whatever reason they couldnt put it together
