I was one of those guys that thought that Alex Smith was done dirty by his coach. He lost his job while he was injured and didnt really deserve to have that happen. Most of the NFL agreed with this.

BUT...i also said to my friend at the time that you gotta figure that Harbaugh knows his team and knows his players better than anyone else. If he thinks that Kapernick is a better option, then he probably is.

Fuck....the guy went into New England and pwned the Patriots (in bad weather)....he rushed for nearly 200 yds in his first playoff appearance. I think that I, and the rest of the football world, owes Jim harbaugh an apology.

I still feel bad for Smith...but it is what it is. At least the coach didnt send him in to mop up yesterday.

I have official jumped on the SF playoff band wagon this postseason. My fantasy playoff office pool team is comprised largley of 49'rs, so basically if they make the bowl i should be in the money! Im the only owner to use kaepernick!

I dont feel bad for alex smith, he lost his job to his coaches guy. Smith was game manager ala trent dilfer! Def and special team adn the running game was the reason that team was winning.

Kaepernick is actually winning the games from the quarterback position

I loved James in college, and I think he could be a great Darren sproles type for you guys. I love harbaugh too. I was really hoping we'd pluck him from Stanford the year we promoted Caldwell.

Gotta give Rodgers and the pack credit for staying in the game as long as they did. The guy is an elite QB and he made some incredible throws....James jones made a few great catches.

again....They did what they had to do yesterday. The game was even after one half of play, and the niners adjusted and came out and dominated in the second half. Im not sure what more you can ask of a team in post season play!

Only team that can (and did) stop them: The Rams.

I am sure the missed opportunities will be discussed by harbaugh this week. If they capitalized at every given moment then yes, they could be a team no one wants to play. But you aren't going to get some schmoes from here on out. I think we can both agree the packers were out of place since go (minus the pick 6) shit they didnt even look like they belonged in the playoffs yesterday.

I would argue that the reason for this is because they were completely overmatched. The Packers are hardly schmoe's

@slothberries as someone who watches the packers more than most packer fans...they were average schmoes yesterday. Defenese was bland, as was the ofrense and no adjustments on either side. Very few spies on 7 when he was burning them all game, that's not a playoff team. Packers expected to win but carried out very little execution or adjustments to do so.

The packers did look like the jags yesterday. And as far as the eeked out a win thing, the games over. As of today, that game means nothing and niner fans should know how one thing going wrong or not capitalizing when given the opportunity can hurt you...that is all.

I have grown to realize I view the game of football differently than most. I focus on a teams weaknesses rather than strengths, because after all, that's what will make or break your season...just ask the d of GB, Ross the punt returner, think of what cost the niners in the 2011/12 season, or ask me (a bears fan).

What happened with the bears this year? Their D was all world for a couple of months.

What are their most glaring weaknesses? is it the coach? is it the qb? is it forte? I like that team...but for whatever reason they couldnt put it together
