There's a place right next to the theatre (yeah, rocking the Canadian spelling yo) called Dora Keogh Irish Pub. How about we meet up there?
The ticket time is 8, so maybe it would start around 8:20, 8:30? I don't know what's standard for TAB as opposed to Phish. Maybe we could meet from 6:30pm on? Or 7?
Now, we just have to think of a good .net identifier.. I have a pin, but it's pretty discrete. We could set up a sign at our table to interest others... stickers... something like that?
See you soon!

I got bigger worries trying to get Fedex to actually deliver the damn tickets lol.
It'll be fun, I'm sure the place will be full of heads anyway but at least we'll get to meet.
I can ship someone a handful of leftover New Year's laminates, if that might help...I noticed there was a healthy amount left over, so I can imagine they would need a good home. Shipping on short notice to Canada, however, might be VERY expensive and not worth the $ or hassle. If you really feel like looking into it, @johnnyd let me know. I'm curious...
@castinajig : glad you liked them. It was a group effort
I'd be down for some Korean BBQ and A pre show banjo jam.
Count me in for the banjo jam! BBQ not so much

Just out of curiosity... do any of you know any Canadians who managed to get tickets in either the presale or public onsale? I don't.. hence the FedEx nonsense you're talking about @phishybanjo .Haha, well, long story... I thought had gotten tickets in the presale up until a few days ago. I'll tell you the rest on Friday.
@johnnyd said:Yeah, notice is short. But I can look into it. Someone PM me an address with your funny postal codes. Or is anyone from 'murca driving up; that might be easier shipping. Either way, I'd have to get them out today...I can ship someone a handful of leftover New Year's laminates, if that might help...I noticed there was a healthy amount left over, so I can imagine they would need a good home. What is the delivery service of choice in Ontario - UPS, FedEx, some combo of USPS and the Canadian equivalent?

Toronto pals, please come join us at 7pm on Friday at Dora Keogh Irish Pub, right next to the Danforth Music Hall before the Trey show. Feel free to PM me ahead of time and we'll keep an eye out for you.
My brother and I wanted to go, but it's impossible to find tickets for face. I've never been so damn bothered by people who buy tickets just to resell them. Not only because people who genuinely want to see Trey are being screwed, but if by any chance they sell it for face right before the show, I'd still be giving them my money. I don't want to give them money. I want them to lose every penny they spent on the tickets they bought without any intentions to see the show, maybe then they'll reconsider buying the damn tickets in the first place.
I'll see how my search goes, if by chance I find tickets for face, I might not be able to resist haha.

@microdan : I hear ya! Like I mentioned earlier in the thread, I don't know of one single Canadian personally who was able to get tickets in the presale or public onsale. That is either a testament to American phans who are on the ball for ordering tickets, but I think you are right that it is not just traditional scalpers, but phans who get hold of tickets to resell, usually not at face value. It is a tough ticket because the venue is so small. Trey is trying to cultivate an audience here again so that Phish can come back and fill a reasonably sized venue (hopefully this summer!). It would be nice if some of those can-phans were actually at this show and not being shut out by other interests. I wish I could meet you at the show, but I understand your firm stance. Maybe you could make the meetup your party! And who knows, there might still be miracles out there...Canadian, from Toronto. Got tickets in the presale. It's a really small venue. Tickets went extemely fast. Everyone has to remember that Canadian phish fans are very under-served when it comes to going to concerts. There was a lot of demand from those of us that would otherwise make long treks across the US. It's nice to see Trey at home.

You're the first person I've heard of who did. See you at the .net meetup perhaps?
- phish.net sign with logo: check
- ad for mockingbird's 3rd edition of the phish companion to be released this spring/summer: check
- collection jar for mockingbird donations: working on it
- nametags & markers for .net handles: working on it
If you have either of the items above and feel like throwing them in a sack, bring them along. We'll forward all proceeds collected to @jackl, mockingbird founder. OKAY.. on to the show!!
@phishybanjo : meetup materialsAFAIK, @JohnnyD still has the collection jug as well as stickers and table topper signs from the Hudson Yards 12/30 meetup. Thanks for arranging this, @krs10!

I'm not hugely optimistic about turnout, but on the other hand maybe we'll get some new people interested in .net, since I'm sure there's going to be a lot of people in that pub who are coming to the show.
I have a leftover Movember donation box that I can bring for the cause.
See you soon!
How was your show? I was blown away by the band. Great first introduction to the TAB and the crowd was pumped!
I ended up driving after all, made it through some significant weather and rolled into the pub around 7:30. Milled about a bit, found my crew but didn't find you. All the tables were full, so I didn't set up shop inside, but instead hung out front trying to stay visible.. sorry to miss you! I found that folks were focused on pregame connections, so I didn't drum up alot of attention for the .net. Just went with the flow.
Trey sounded pretty encouraging when he said it's great to be back and see you VERY soon. I am pulling for a TO summer show! We'll try again then so see you there.
Peace, Kirsten
