Frankenbob So this is my first time on a forum. I've used them before to get information but I've never joined one so bear with my while i get the hang of this is. I've been on .net a couple of times trying to avoid school work.

My names Bob, Im 21 and go to school in boston. I got into phish around 2005 when my sisters boyfriend at the time (husband now) introduced them to me. Started with Stash and Free and a lot of hoist and billy breathes. With the transition to junta and live stuff following around 2007 it took me a while to dive in but I was glad i finally did. When they reunited in 09 i was only able to get a ticket to 1 show the night before my high school graduation, it was amazing. For the following years i was dating a girl who was very anti phish so the amount of shows i went to was hindered by her. Luckily that didn't work out and in 2012 i made sure i would start making up for it, 7 shows in 2012 since my pocket wasn't deep enough for more. But i made the trek from boston to charlotte for that show in august since my current girlfriend goes to school in Virginia and loves phish it worked out really well.

I've been really getting into the earliest stuff i can find. Ian's farm-'92 has been really interesting to me lately. Any thing else that are must hears please let me know.

Good to have you.

For your listening pleasure, I would recommend 2/28/03 and 6/20/04 -- two of my faves from my preferred era of Phish.

harroldHOOD Also if you've never heard the Phil and Phriends recordings, those are a MUST. Trey and Page played with Steve Kimock John Molo and Phil Lesh. The pristine soundboard recordings are all available for free:

Night 1

Night 2
http://archive.org/details/1999-04-16.paf.sbd.unknown.10169.sbeok.flacf

Night 3

Possibly the best chunk of free music any group of artists has ever released.

MiguelSanchez All of those shows recommended are downright delicious. The spreadshhet's remastered page is a gold mine. Would a taper take the time to remaster a recording if the show were not kick ass?

cjfphan21 Welcome!

I would definitely suggest picking up Colorado 88 from livephish.com if you're into early stuff. You should also check out the Whipping Post Jam" from 1985-11-23, which is available on the spreadsheet. Quality is very low, but it's still worth the listen and, IMO, is a must hear.
