or
Bader Field Atlantic City June 28 - June 30 or July 12 - July 14?
or another location...most rumors have mentioned the Northeast and many have mentioned a raceway setting...NY is still a viable option for the fest and i know there has been mentions of other locations that they held fests at in the past...
what are your thoughts on the two spots mentioned and how realistic do you think they are...dates are just wild guesses....
I think Plattsburgh and limestone are out of the question. Phish knows their fan base is older, with families, jobs, etc. I guarantee the majority of people will not travel to northern Maine, deal with ridiculous traffic, etc. it's not the 90's anymore, and I think with the logistical success of fest 8 and SBIX, the band will hold it at a place that's easy to get in and out of
Plus the facilities at the Air Force base in limestone are run down from what I gather. No way they'd go back

Bader wont be the "fest" but I've said this before, I wouldn't be surprised if they did a few Bader Field type things around the country.
2 days of phish in an open field in a city. No camping but lodging-a-plenty and tons to do. Preferably near large bodies of wa-wa-wawtah.
The old Indy airport? Not really, that would be horrible.Hahaha... The old Indy airport. Nothing says phish fest like indy's glorious west side.
They won't hold it in a location that requires you pay for a hotel.
i heard form a atlantic city native bader field isnt doing concerts anymoreAre they saying this because the shows that were booked for September last year were pulled by Starr Hill Presents (promoter of DMB, Bonnaroo, and more) six months after signing the contract in Jan 2012 with no explanation?
News Story ^
I tried to find info on this and cant find where No Concerts at Bader Field are to occur....
even if a fest isnt there, it was a great concert location...
Fest location...?Bader Field has 143 acres of land and more then enough room for on-site camping. Phish was originally planning on-site camping but could not secure permits in time. (based in a story i read in the AC press right after the anouncement). There was an issue with having enough water lines to supply a camp ground area from what i remember and the city could not commit to having them upgraded in time.

Now, with all that being said...it might just not be a good fit....
(although Mike and His family were spotted all over the grounds including blocked off areas, scouting out the scene)
New Hampshire Motor Speedway?how is the camping at this track? RV style, not tent camping...the sight doesnt say much. Its a little further then i want to drive, but it wouldnt hold me back from seeing a fest there...
Limestone would be a very tough decision for me...But NY,CT,VT,NH,RI and i'm there...ME is just a bit further then i could take my RV, especially North ME, so i'm really hoping that isn't the place they picked...
NJ,PA,DE,MD would also be no problem....
guess i am just wishing there were some solid rumors that some digging could prove or disprove the event...god, i need some phish!
Lol Bader; It's going to be NE or NY.i agree with this.

nothing says phish fest without a camp city.

I think it would be a great site IF they had camping on site....
I am not counting it to really be the site, but i think it offers alot!
Beside the large parcel of land, just outside the event there are tones of thing available....easy to get to, traffic isnt an issue and whats not better then having a beach to hit between sets...
Bader Field is all mud still. Had a few friends go to AC a few weeks ago because the Casino's were offering $29 rooms. I think AC is outta the question all together.thats all of NJ this time of year...or at least south jersey....if its sand, it drys quick, if its farm ground...mud til may....ac is a mix...and Bader is all farm type ground on top of sand...Man mad island/peninsula for the air port it once was...
i know it wont really happen, but cant a boy dream?
oh wait...im on .net and here to have my dreams crushed...
Pocono Raceway June 28 - June 30?Dude, you already know they've booked your garage, stop trolling

If they are really doing a 30 yr retrospective type deal, it's gotta be Plattsburgh or limestoneThis. With my guess being LAB..

Plus the facilities at the Air Force base in limestone are run down from what I gather. Not true. Out of curiosity, I exchanged some e-mails with someone up there who asked not to be named, but said the site in its current condition could definitely accomodate a similar event.
I doubt it will happen there (there's no solution for the traffic going in, that I can see), but their infrastructure is ready to go. They'd love to have another fest there.

festival back on amy's farm hahahahahahaha that would be awesomeeeeetheres a pretty mutual hatred between amy skeleton and the phans
Dover International in Dover, DE. Hosted Firefly fest with Black Keys last summer. Onsite camping. Close to Philly and NJ.
Buckeye Lake aka Legend Valley in central Ohio perhaps?Awesome, but I think its too small for a fest. Def should have a show or two there, tho.

but hell...ya never know until the official announcement is made....
Suwanee isn't big enough. The Wanee fest only holds around 25k while a Phish fest would have more than that. Sweet venue though
I dont think this is true at all, although i tried to do some digging and the biggest # i could find from previous years is 30,000.. however on the front page of the suwanee music park website it says that there is "over 800 acres of primitive camping" which sounds like it would be more than enough to accommodate a phest. I went to wanee last year and it was somewhere between 25-30,000 people (a lot) i think and there was definitely still available room for camping all over the place...i was camped 15 min walk from the little amphitheater (i think mushroom stage)... also THIS thread has some people claiming that they heard the capacity was at about 40,000 including concert goers and staff. Wherever the festival happens, i dont think its going to ever be 70-80,000 people again those days have come and gone, but i think phish could destroy this venue and would love to see them play at suwanee.
edit - i was at superball also and i bet there were just about as if not just as many or more people at wanee than there were at superball.
