Personally I say "no", drink fluids, exercise, proper nutrition, wash your hands and use sanitizer. If I worked with at risk people id op for the inhaled variety rather than the shot

It must be what I was thinking of. I can't blame this one on auto correct...

Latest research supports this theory.
My whole family as well as myself got sick earlier this season and it wasn't terrible. Being sick is actually HEALTHY for you in that your body becomes smarter and learns another disease and will be that much better at guarding itself against worse illnesses.
I have gone back and forth on this debate. When I was younger my mom insisted on us getting flu shots and I can think of a couple of times when I had the flu as a kid, but nothing terrible. When I started college I never got one and was usually sick most winters with all sorts of illnesses including whooping cough, sinus infections, flu once if I remember correctly. I'm not necessarily correlating the lack of flu shot with this but probably more a result of less than healthy living choices like drinking and smoking too much and being on campus with other sick people. I got the flu shot this year and so far so good, everyone at work that sits around me was out sick around New Years except me, so I am chalking that up to a success this year!

Cities, subways....theyre breeding grounds. All it takes is one sick person on a train to cough and sneeze all over the place, releasing their germs into the air. I cant sanitize my hands 2000 times a day, i cant wear a dust mask over my face. i CAN and DO make a conscious effort to keep my hands away from my nose, mouth and eyes.... but all it takes is one slip up at an inopportune time.
I think that if you live in bumblef*** Vermont, then yeah....take care of yourself and youll probably be alright. But living in NYC or any big city...its not that simple. Ive been lucky in recent years....despite living and working here. But Idk...this flu seems to be particularly nasty and id like to avoid it, if possible.
Anyway....i got the shot, so i guess we'll see.
