which one did you personally have the most fun at??
now that we are in the middle of winter with no tour announcement, really nothing solid to look forward to phish-wise, i figured we could all use a reminder of how great last year was.
i am going to go with 7.6.12 SPAC myself. i only made it out to 4 shows last year but this one was the most memorable. i was on my honeymoon. got to dance it up with my wife, and had some great neighbors. and i love when a first set rages so hard that you truly don't even care what they play second set. this was one of those nights for me.

Tough call. Saw AC n2, SPAC x3, and 12/29 and 12/31. SPAC n3 and NYE. Probably take the cake for most fun had
Honorable mention to 12.30.12 and Worcester first night.
But the 8/22/12 KC show was a great adventure for @MrsDubya and I. A new (awesome) venue to see Phish at and a whole new outdoor Phish experience for us after seeing so many shows at Alpine over the years.
It was just she and I, we were pretty much anonymous down there. Made friends with our neighbors at the show and that was about it.
The show itself musically was pretty standard so the adventure side of going to see Phish puts this one over the top.
I had the most fun at Blossom, but Star Lake and 12/30 were probably the best, musically. Regardless, they were all great shows!
The unofficial meet up was cool meeting some fine .netters and the whole weekend was a blast camping with @dark_star and his friend and my brother @og_pinecones and his wifes brother....
would had liked to gone to more shows, but times and places didnt work out for me.....
hanging in the secrete parking lot otherside of the park watching the balloon heads and N2o mafia go nuts was funny while we waited for the traffic to clear up a bit....
Thus leaving it to AC 2 and SPAC 3, which when I think about it were 2 very differen't types of "fun". AC was balls to the wall, party vibe, Fear and Loathing like craziness that was just something else. And one of my first real "holy shit" moments was Lighteca, that was very memorable for me. I also (vaguely) remember the split seconds before Crosseyed this girl turned to me asking me to call second set opener and I look over at her with my dime size pupils and spit out "Crosseyed".
SPAC 3 was my last night of tour and while it had a very sad vibe to it knowing I had no Phish show to go to anymore, it was perhaps the most amazing night of my life. I've said before on here that my girlfriend and my buddy and his girlfriend all suprised me by showing up at the show but I didn't get to them until the second set. First YEM encore which I thought I wasn't going to get after seeing 14 Leg 1 shows, nuff said.
And after all that typing I still can't pick.
All equally comparable.
Forced to choose under the gun, MSG N4 would take the cake.
DCU center night 1 that boggie is down right dirty.
I'm not sure. Toss-up between Worcester 1, SPAC1, SPAC3, and Charlotte. Bama was also very fun. Was a pretty special year touring this year for me, with 3 new states and 4 new venues.
It felt a little wrong but hey you only live once
Probably AC2. I was loading up a bowl of some deemsters at set break and this wookette walks up to me, obviously seeing what was going on. She grabbed my jeans and have me an over-the-pants HJ right there in the middle of Bader. After that I let her hit the pipe second then lite the mouthpiece a bunch of times just in case. She strolled like 20 steps up and sat next to what I assume was the chief wook, kissed him and layed back down.

Deemster whores..
probably gotta say dicks night 2,
Definitely the weakest night musically of the 3 listening back to them, but timing, the songs i wanted to hear, on top of my mental state(hehehe) that one was my favorite. But all of Dick's was a blast, not to say that alpine wasn't.
As far as regular shows, had a blast at Worcester N1, Dick's N2 and MSG N3. Was on the floor at all three with good people boogieing with a smile plastered on my face.
Randomly decided to drive to spac with a friend on saturday morning, didn't have a place to stay or tix, but soon found an awesome camp site and easily picked up lawns at the show. cloudy afternoon of campsite boozing -> beautiful summer evening on the lawn.
St. Louis- whole other story-- so much space on the floor, amazing crowd and people around us, and phish absolutely threw down that night.
Went to deer creek, alpine, and St Louis.
STL is probably the best show I've ever seen.
STL is probably the best show I've ever seen.
Tough call, but top to bottom, 7.7.2012. SPAC II. For 100% shit-eating grin fun.
I came to say exactly this - 7/7 was incredible for me, because of the company I was with, the energy, and a few other variables. I feel it every time I listen to it...puts me right back there. Love it!
I would say Dick's N3 (wasn't at N1). I was about 10 rows back Page-side for the first set, and from Ride Captain Ride on it was just pure energy. Set 2 I went and hung out in the stands towards the sides of the stage and just enjoyed one of the best sets I have ever seen/heard.
most fun- for me was either spac1 or portsmouth1
best show- spac3
i went to 20 shows this year
best show- spac3
i went to 20 shows this year
Nye or spac n2. Both were unreal
My favorite show I went to is dcu night 1. As far as funnest AC was super fun i only live 15 min from their so hometown shows are always fun all your freinds are their u really don't have to worry bout much but the funnest show I went to was 12/29/12 was just the best time I had at a show in a while the people I was sitting next to were all cool and the crowd was just amped so even though it was probably my least favorite shows out of what I saw in 2012 it was defenitely the funnest
Agreed for sure. Most awesome crowd I have ever seen, with the highest energy I have ever seen.
All the AC shows are definitely in contention, I had a awesome group of friends at all three shows, and between the vibe at that place and how great Phish played (AND SIERRA NEVADA FOAM) I had an absolute blast each night. SPAC n2 would be the second one in contention. Like AC, I had a blast at all three nights, but night 2 was just awesome. I was in the perfect place sobriety (or lack-thereof) wise, Phish played fantastic and everyone around me was just having so much fun and it was just spectacular. I think after two great shows at Jones Beach, the excitement of camping at Lee's and all the shenanigans that came along with it combined with the boys killing it on night one just culminated into a time of times on night 2. Oh and the fact that Phish absolutely killed it, made for probably my favorite show of the summer.
Nothing better than the boys coming out of the gates of a 3-night run and throwing down at the first show, and then the next night, when all you have been thinking and talking about with your friends is how you have no idea how they were going to top last night, and then they DO IT. Oh Phish how I love you.
Went with a couple buddies and met two great .netters @MOONMAN930 and @kingsley_zissou
Pulled tix night before and drove up solo from Palm Springs that morning made it about 1/2 hour before doors opened what a day on the road, got to met the great @julesmac and and chilled with for show (sorry for so many disappearances)
Met back up with @kingsley_zissou and @MOONMAN930 had fun y'all. until next time. Also saw @phan83 for a brief min.Musically its FYF Dick's N1 - no contest.
DC night one! Hot as hell and ridiculously fun night.
Best Musical Experience: 8/31/12.
Honorable mention to 6/7/12, 9/2/12 and 12/28/12.
Saw some excellent Phish this year!
Also, I just tried to analyze the fun factor/music factor and come up with top shows, and totally failed.
I think it might have to be SPAC - I love outdoor venues, great weather, life-threatening rocket-camping, beautiful grounds, and miraculously scoring awesome seats all three nights. I consider those to be one big show.
Although NYE is incredible, in the winter its more of a temporary escape from the planet than a celebration of its glory.
most fun was either tour opener in woostah or night 2 spac or 12/30/12 loved all for different reasons
12/28/12 due to the spontaneous nature of our trip. We decided to go on the 27th and left Pittsburgh at 12:30 am on the 28th. We got into NYC at 7:30 and I dropped my friend off at the Garden as I went to look for a parking spot. At this point I had slept for 1.5 hours in a 24 hour period. I finally parked the car at 104th and Central Park West at 10:0am (big thanks to wefunkradio.com for the two and half hours of entertainment as I looked for a spot!) I met my friend down near the Garden and we waited in line until 4:00 when we got tickets from the box office. First row in the corner of 109, as close as one could be to Fishman!! We then headed to the car and began our steady intake of tincture with our water. We were in the first group of 10 to enter the venue when they opened the doors, and we went and met some great people in our section and had a blast!! Everyone in our section was very kind to one another, sharing what it was they were holding. Anyways, we took enough tincture, in combination with the lack of sleep that things got really interesting, and what a night it was. In addition it was my friends first show since Hampton 04 so it was a special night! Hell we had so much fun that we decided to book a 85 dollar hotel room in Jersey and do it all over the next night before heading hoe after the 29th!

2012-06-16 (Bader Field, Atlantic City, NJ)

For most fun I'll choose Chaifetz.
Solo ride to St. Louis - love me an adventure.
Love some indoor Phish in the summer.
