W00kie be thy name.
These hippies come
With guitar and drum
On tour as it is in Gamehendge.
Give this day our daily toke
And forgive us our WSP stats
As we forgive spreadheads that come to our Phish shows.
And lead us not into the Biscuits
But deliver us from Umphrey's

Something Special, lots of truth to this.

Its a pain in the arse, I am usually awake by 5 on weekends too, it all stems from a 6:00 am shift a few years ago. I had dreams about sleeping through an alarm clock which is no way to wake up, but now I am just programmed no clock needed. But I am at work now and can leave at 3. But when I am not at home this routine doesnt work well when on going to shows and sharing hotel rooms or other peoples houses. It does for them because they usually wake up to coffee and maybe even breakfast but earlier then normal.

I do think 5 to 7am is the best time to ride the mountain bike and go outside and just listen to the day start. Weird I know but you can hear it.

I'm often the same. Sometimes I reap the benefits of snoozing in, but more often than not I'm on cleanup/breffass duty. Which I don't mind at all.

Last few weeks, I've been up like a bolt at 6:45 on weekends. Luckily been able to get back to sleep for another hour or two, as desired. But its funny b/c I get up 20 mins earlier for work, and I'm still beat.

Mornin.

Mornings are my nemesis. I purposely worked off-shifts for the last ten years to keep the night owl in me happy. My newest endeavor requires me to be here by 7am. Next thing I know I'll be hitting buffets and going to bed by 6pm. Also, I'm starting to like crossword puzzles. AARP, here I come!

Again...sitting in the lot not wanting to go in. Ugh... and I'm trapped in my car cuz the lady that parked right next to me in an EMPTY lot has both doors open and is practically under her seat...

Im the first to wake, but sadly the first one to bed, usually. Wifey calls me "old man joe" when we're with other people.

I love being the first one up when we take our backpacking trips twice a year. It's so peaceful. Plus watching everyone else struggle to get out of a warm tent on a freezing cold morning is quite funny when you are already acclimated and sitting by the fire.

Got a doctors appointment today to see what the f*** is up with my kidneys and how big a deal it is. Though this is with my GP, I suspect it will result in a referral. I'm pretty torn about not being able to donate one, this is very stressful for our family.

There was this. So I got tested. A parade of administrative buffoonery ensued, and after a really long time, the results came back that I was not a suitable donor because MY kidneys are f***ed in some way that may be a big deal, or maybe not. So I am finally going to my doctor with those specific results to have a look-see. I feel fine though.

Sign'd on being an early riser. I like to talk a big game when I am faced with not having to get up early. Then I'm up before 7. Gone are the days of sleep.

Boy asked me to make cupcakes last night. I did (funfetti in fact) -- and he doesn't eat them. He has his mama's genes of no sweets. So guess who's the most popular Librarian in school today?!?

Oh, you got me. I did feel tears and fuzzies. I was going to comment about getting a physical and surprise high cholesterol, but I read the article. I have a newborn 4.5 month at home and I want him enveloped with love at all times. I can imagine that this would bring some comfort during a time of grief.

And, yeah, i hadn't been for a physical in probably 10 years or so, so I got one. high cholesterol and uric acid. It seems to be more genetic than diet/lifestyle, but it has definitely put a damper on my fun and indulgence. I'm eating differently, not drinking and taking supplements, etc. oy.
