There were so many wonderful continuous runs of music in 2012 and really in 3.0 and I got to wondering which one was the best or really which ones would be the best vs another. We could almost create a bracket and vote to discuss this if someone really wanted to or was better at creating those kinds of threads than me. The very first show of summer and the very last show of summer both had two amazing runs and I really can't decide which was better. Here are the the two runs I would like to compare and try to find an overall winner:

This is a tough one for me. As much as I loved how summer tour ended I am currently leaning to how summer tour started as the best run of songs for the summer. That lighter Carini was fantastic and was solid all the way through. Boogie was my favorite version of 2012 if not all of 3.0.

What are some of your comparrisons where you are having a tough time deciding and what would you vote as to the better of the 2 I mentioned?

That Carini -> taste is awesome. Then the norwedian wood tease is just so beautiful and perfect.

I'll nominate the Golden Age> Prince Caspian> Light from 9/1/12, the Mike's Song> Simple> Light> Weekapaug Groove from 6/23/12, and the Down With Disease> Twenty Years Later> Carini> Backwards Down the Number Line from 12/30/12.

I prefer the Dick's segments of your comparison.

THAT Boogie On! Listening to it right now..right around the 5:30 mark on the LP recording...LOVE that lick! The jam that stems from that lick makes this my favorite Boogie...though I'd probably still say my favorite segue is either the Sand -> Ghost or the second set of BGCA Night 3...Crosseyed -> Light-> Sally-> Crosseyed

9/1/12 for me. Don't forget Mike's > McGrupp > BOTT -> HYHU > Bike > HYHU > Paug > Caspian > Waves > Bug > Bowie

I think DCU wins for me. I remember listening to the stream and it was when I really really understood the live aspect of Phish, even though I was on some crappy AUD stream, I was very very excited at the moment.

Notable: C&P> Light-> Sneakin' was the cleanest segue IMO.

Sorry, I don't have anything to judge it against. That was my favorite segment from the shows I saw this summer.

As for your choices, I prefer the Dick's segment.
