Alright, so I took @spaced's idea and ran with it. I made a bracket here. The first round is open now through Monday at noon. I know there will be some disagreement over the choices and seeds, but I tried to make it pretty balanced.
Might I suggest at least adding the Venues to the dates? It might help jar peoples memories more than just a random date in June of 1994 will.
I wanted to participate, but i gave up after the third match because I cant remember what all of those tweezers sound like.
The way it is now, i think youll find that most people are going to vote randomly....making the contest pointless
just my .02
My 16, not seeded:
4/21/92
5/6/93
5/7/94
11/2/94
11/23/94
12/9/94
6/22/95
11/30/95
12/2/95
12/14/95
12/6/97
7/9/98
8/1/98
2/28/03
9/3/11
12/28/12
My original list was 25 and had to brutally whittle it down to 16.
i can tell you this right now...12/2/95 SHOULD win
6/9/00 vs 10/30/98
11/26/97 vs 8/1/98
2/28/03 vs 7/9/98
9/3/11 vs 12/2/95
11/30/95 vs 11/17/97
11/30/95 going against Denver '97 seems a little unfair. Which sucks bc that is a great, great Tweezer. But Denver '97 is one of, if not my favorite Tweezer ever.
This is pretty cool. I'm excited to do the next round and see who is crowned champ. My finals picks: Denver '97 vs Nassua '03 with Denver winning that matchup
Let's keep bumping this bitch over the next few days.
Thanks for voting so far everyone. Not really sure what to do regarding a second, smaller bracket. Let this one play out and then do a second one or just forget it? Or make the smaller bracket now and leave the first bracket alone...I've got questions, whose got answers?Stick with what you have. Personally, I like your choices. Good mix of popular and somewhat dark horses. The big Tweezers are gonna win anyway, so it really doesn't matter all that much. I like the bracket as is.
And I will for sure bump this over the next few days.

hell yeah!! i am not computer savvy enough to set this up. nice work @westbrook.Hey thanks. Looking at the bracket, I see some interesting matchups coming in the next round. 12/2/95 vs. 2/28/03 could be close. It could have been seeded a little better, but like I said the option was to order the versions by their strength. I think I could have made it a little better if I could actually make the seeds myself and see how the bracket was shaping up as I made it.

as for me, i'll be going 12/2/95 in that match up!!
Anybody rooting for a "hometown" version? I think the closest to a local Tweezer for me in this tournament would be 11/23/94 St. Louis
@MiguelSanchez said:I think it's probably good the way it is. I was hemming and hawing about what versions to include and how to set up the seeding, and it was taking forever. You just went and quickly made a bracket and it worked out great. Sometimes you just can't overthink things and have to let them play out. Tough matchups are part of the fun and will keep things interesting at each stage of the bracket.hell yeah!! i am not computer savvy enough to set this up. nice work @westbrook.Hey thanks. 12/2/95 vs. 2/28/03 could be closeDude, no kidding. Probably 2 of my top 3.
I'm gonna claim the Dick's Tweezer from 2011 as my "hometown" Tweezer, but I'm sure it'll get smoked by 12/2/95.
I had to vote against 11/26/97 cause it was seeded against a juggaurnaut 8/1/98...it fought hardi had the same dilemma and voted the same way.
First, you did a kick-ass job on selecting these and seeding them as quickly as you did. Like @MiguelSanchez said, what are you gonna do?if you're thinking about claiming dick's, you might as well claim 11/17/97. i think dick's is getting bounced in round one... unless it gets noob'ed into round 2.

::facepalm::
PS: Of course I voted for it.
Bump. Voting for the first round is open until Monday. 720 votes so far, or 45 people. Can def do better then that. C'mon, voting takes less then 7 minutes. And it's fun.
This seems like a whole lot of work just to name 12.6.97 the winner. We'll see about that. I think it will definitely make it to the final 4 but there is some stiff competition.
This seems like a whole lot of work just to name 12.6.97 the winner.i guess it is the favorite, but i wouldn't declare it the winner. there's at least one or two that i would take over it. i've been refreshing my memory on a few of these tweezers. tough decisions around the bend...

@MiguelSanchez said:yeah, i voted against 11/23, but i'm kind of bouncing around on that one. i would definitely take 11/2/94 over 12/6/97. the 11/2 tweezer is a top 5 all time jam, imo. 12/6 may be a top 10 or 15 though. 12/6 tweezer is definitely in the top 5 of things that i have seen live, but i wasn't around for the '94 tweezers.@deBebbler said:Like I said, I think 12/6/97 is a lock for the final four, but something like Bangor or New Haven could knock it off. side note, 12/6/97 was the first tweezer i ever saw live. talk about setting the bar high.
Just goes to show that making predictions about what people will vote for can be a dicey business, which is why this bracket should be fun
See, this is the fun thing about these brackets. I think Bangor is really boring for the most part. I wouldn't put it in my top 10 tweezers, and it's not even my favorite tweez from that month. I'd put 11/23 St. Louis and 11/28 Bozemon over Bangor any day.Good point. I can't wait to see the results.

12/14/95 vs. 10/22/95 is a brutal first round draw for both. Cool idea!Yeah. I went 10/22 but that might have been the one I stated at the longest.
