Offseason is upon us now so I thought I'd make a thread guessing where next year's 3 night runs will be.

Any predictions?

Here are the previous three night runs (not including NYE runs)

Hampton Coliseum - Hampton, VA (reunion, not part of tour)
Jones Beach Amphitheater - Wantagh, NY
Red Rocks Amphitheater - Morrison, CO (four nights)
MSG - New York, NY (fall tour)

All multinight stops, all the time! Mini-fest-like atmosphere everywhere!

I'd like to request at least two nights in Albany (on dates that I can attend).

Early June in Chicago (UIC? Where else could they do it?). Or stick with DC -> Alpine 2 nights each

Three nights at the creek would be killer. I love alpine so much, but goddam that's a long haul back to WV.

texas is a good place to see phish. in '98, i made the treck w/ my old 1.0 tour buddy to visit his sister in dallas. i was able to hit the show there and in austin. unfortunately, i missed the redonkuliousness that was the houston show.

Clearly there is a pattern for a 3-night run in California...I just don't think they've found the "perfect" venue in NorCal yet. Need to find the perfect balance between too large at Shoreline and too small and BGCA and The Greek.

Maybe The Cow Palace??? At about 12-13K would be a good fit.

I'd like this, but it seems like the three-nighters are planned in places where there's other stuff to do. Hartford is far from a captivating or exciting city. Although they do have some great restaurants...

I think the 3 night runs are planned to be near ample camping areas too, they seem to want the festival atmosphere. When I've seen shows in Hartford, the second I get out of the venue, I wish I was home already.

Maybe we'll get two though.

I have a slightly inappropriate story about Hartford 2000.

We had two cars full of people. One car was me (sober driver) and a bunch of drunk people. The other car, everyone, including the driver was tripping. We got on the highway and I realized that I was on "E" so we pulled off in East Hartford and found a gas station. This was one of those gas stations where they have bullet-proof glass inside and you hand your money through a bank teller style tray etc. We were in the G-G-GHETT0



There were shady people all around, it looked like a rowdy Snoop video from 1995 crossed with night of the living dead. It was scary... so bad that I made my brother get out with me while I pumped gas! When I went inside to pay, the woman behind the counter gave me that look that says in one glance, "You look lost little boy and you better get the fook out of here." I just nodded back that look that says, "I know, and will you please just take my money so I can hide the trickle of piss running down my leg!?"
So we get back to the car and I signal to my tripping pace car that I'm good. As we are driving away, one of my drunk passengers, decides it will be good idea to yell the worst word you can think of to say in this kind of place out the window AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS! I was waiting for a hail of bullets, or a red light to stop me in my tracks. I could have KILLED him for that, but we made it. It was insane.

We also saw a terrible instance of police brutality at those shows... strange days indeed.

How bout 3 nights at the Philips arena in Atlanta... in the fall... with a huge fall tour.

While I do like Red Rocks more than Dicks as a venue, I like that Dicks is HUGE and you're pretty much guaranteed a ticket. Red Rocks on the other hand sells out too easily. Plus, as they told us last year they all love Dicks, they'll be back!!
