MJZ1974 I've read many sources claim that this is by far the best China > Rider played outside the '72-'74 range.

What do you think Mike? 12-01-79 is right up there for "outside 72-74 range". 6-26-74 being my all time favorite.

I made a joke a while back that I've declared at least 12 "Top 5" China > Riders since I started doing Workingman's Wednesday. Ha Ha. So many good ones. So far every one mentioned can take one of those spots, but I agree that MSG '81 is a burner. 12-1-79 I almost forgot about...I guess I better go back and listen!

Without listing 3 dozen, I still have to put 10-27-90 on the Top 5 list no matter what anybody says.

And 8-7-82 Alpine Valley might have the sickest transition ever. I almost put it up for Workingman's Wednesday a few months back before I discovered Dick's Pick's beat me to it. ;)

Two more well known ones would be Alpine Valley '89 and 4-1-90 Atlanta (from Without A Net).

For the best one nobody has ever heard, check out the hyperspeed madness from 7-1-84 Pine Knob. OK I'll stop now.

It's a great show. I still find myself going back to the late 60's early 70's shows though. Any show with a Dark Star/ Turn on your lovelight is a winner in my book.

It's right up there. '79 and '81 were ridiculous years for that combo. Don't miss 5/9/79, 10/28/79, 10/31/79, 12/31/79, 3/3/81, 9/12/81, or 12/9/81.

Othe choice China > Riders: 5/10/80, 7/17/89, 6/16/90, and 3/18/93.

lefty Good stuff @MJZ1974 & @dscott you guys have logged your time that is for sure. Gonna give those recs a listen. Especially 7-1-84 and 10-27-90 cant say I've given those a spin. And @dscotts 90s recs too, I havent spent enough listening time in that decade. So much music, so little time...
