If you still have a choice go to Loon. Much better mountain close by.

poonutties Went there a ton as a kid. It's a small mountain. The little circular townish area is cool though.

Harrynuggs Skiing is average, if you have a family it will be a great spot with intermediate terrain, a bunch of off mountain activities including ice skating. Town is cool with shops and dining. No open container laws in town, but cops are pretty harsh in terms of pretty much everything else. I have had a number of friends popped for DWI there. Did grad school at PSU and worked with the hockey team when they played there.

I just went skiing for the first time in a decade, did a couple days at Bromley. I don't have any information on Waterville Valley, I just wanted to share this.

cactoid Water ville has an excellent park and the glades are actually pretty tight and ridiculous.. But trails, vertical, lift logistics are all kinda eh. Go to cannon if you're thinking about going to go to loon instead, cannon owns loon in the face

Cannon rules. My favorite mountain in NH. That said, if you're looking for a resort-type area, cannon is not the answer. It's a ski mountain and that's it. And that's why I love it, at least one reason anyways

cactoid ^ check out Mad River Glen one day. Makes Cannon look like Aspen no joke. Cannon was always my favorite just because it was a skier's mountain, and then I discovered the Glen. Tough transition but its definitely my favorite place to ski now.

If it ever #*($&!@(ing snows!!!!!!!

PricklyHairs I want to poach MRGlen sooooooo bad on my snowboard. I wouldn't push off all the snow I promise because I go nose first down a mountain, not falling leaf style.

All the snowboard punks circa 1992 ruined it for respectful people like me. I just wanna ride the Glen... is that so wrong?

docbh I feel the same way @pricklyhairs. Maybe they could just dedicate one weekend for riders or something? Sharing is caring.
