New Post: The Importance Of Smaller Bands.

Potato_Sacks Permalink
Potato_Sacks New blog post I just put up today, I've shared the previous ones I did here, so why not continue.

Touches upon a few smaller bands, and the importance of them, and why comparing small bands to Phish is ludicrous to me.

You can read it here!

Thanks everyone, feedback is welcomed and encouraged.

patper Great post OP! It's so easy and inexpensive to go check out smaller bands that I don't know why more people don't do it. What's the worst that can happen if you don't like the tunes? So you're down five or ten bucks, and you get to hang out with (probably) like-minded people and enjoy a few drinks. It's worth exploring live music sometimes, especially if you find that one band that really does it for you!

That said, this seems like an appropriate opportunity to plug my favorite smaller band, Turbine. They're amazing. Rock and roll, type II craziness, rage, a little bit o' funk here and there, psychedelic gooeyness, the whole nine yards. Go see them! http://turbinemusic.com/tour/

Potato_Sacks I listened to a bit @Patper, they sound pretty good! I would love to see em. I've never lisnted to Railroad Earth but I'm going to check them out at the House Of Blues Boston in Feb. then -> Animal Collective a couple weeks later.

Views on that post skyrocketed yesterday, thanks everyone!

all joking aside, that a good blog you posted. I exposed myself last September to a weekend Fest (Soupergroove) with all up and coming bands that i enjoyed so much that i hope they do the same fest again this year....

Thanks brother. I'll have to look it up, I never heard of it. Small fests are so much fun for such little money, it's awesome.
