That was a SPECTACULAR read. Knowing very little about the art of drumming, it is often hard for me to explain to a non-phan just how incredible Fish is at drums. After reading that, I think I actually have some ammo to use in future discussions, because in he past, in my head I know he is an incredible drummer, but I didn't have the right words to describe it.Thanks for sharing!

John Bonham NEVER EVER had a double kick pedal for a single bass drum. Never.Like said already, there was a short period in 1969 where he had two Ludwig bass drums.

Great article. My evidence proving that Fishman is the greatest is the NYE '95 release. IMO, the mix successfully captures all the nuances of his playing, in a particularly hot performance.

In my opinion, that is why that Reba and Mike's are so amazing. His fills are just so...perfect.
